Yeah I need a better music publishing program. I tried burning wavs to CD from Windows Media Player but it kept glitching out every time.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 03-31-2009 09:16 AM

the who were pretty good, i don't know many of their songs but alot of what i heard was awesome and the jammed on some pretty sweet stuff.

pino did pretty well to fill john entwistles shoes but didn't do 'my generation' justice

pete introduced him as 'the italian bass god'

gaslight 03-31-2009 09:19 AM

Haha, even though he was born and raised in the UK.

No-one but Entwistle can be Entwistle, may he rest in peace.

Did they play Eminence Front?

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 03-31-2009 09:26 AM

yes they did and it was pretty good

i only know they played it because they introduced the song.

if they didn't it would've been a surprise to us both.

gaslight 03-31-2009 09:30 AM

Wicked, I love that song. I got to jam out nice and loud on my bass rig tonight. I absolutely love my rig.

Man I think I'd love to get me one of these new Ibanez SR600's in flat black.

blueyxd 03-31-2009 04:03 PM
which one did you use bluey? I still use the original one that was popular on oink lulz
The one they refer to on what cd... just with my own file naming style. 100% log scores every time (unless the cd is damaged, then I just don't do it).

Basically, by using that guide, plus finding the correct write offset for my drive, I can rip something, burn it to CD-R, then rip that CD-R and get the exact same CRCs as the original. 1:1 copy :thumb:

Aaron 03-31-2009 05:25 PM
I believe you can burn straight out from a program like say, Adobe Audition from within the program so you don't have to compress it first. Maybe you have to save as wav and burn it as that somehow? Not sure.
Most programs are set that you export as ogg-vorbis or wav, but you can download codec/plugins that will add an mp3 exporter with ID3.2 tagging capabilities. When exporting it you just set the bit-rate.

sgrevs 03-31-2009 09:33 PM
I'm not gonna hand deliver mine but I yeah I would be stoked haha.

Sure they might. I'm hoping at least a few people will buy the Tiger Panic stuff, and the Atlas Weights remixed/re-release, there'll be a few other things for sale too.
I will buy re-released Atlas Weights, been bumping in my car last week or so, still really like it.

gaslight 04-01-2009 12:29 AM

Awesome dude. You'll love the new mixes I think, they sound heaps better so far. Plus there'll be a nice booklet and good cover art and stuff.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 04-01-2009 07:15 AM

does anyone know where i can get copies (torrents) of 'were back: a dinosaur story' and 'little giants' me and my mates were talkin about em the other day and i want to see if they're still as good as i remember them

gaslight 04-01-2009 07:41 AM

At work. Decided to do a normal 9 til 5 day for once; it's odd to wake up at 6:15am after getting up at 4:15 for a few weeks in a row. I'm also going to buy a new computer next week [new-gen imac] so I'm pricing that.

Meatplow 04-01-2009 09:50 PM

sgrevs 04-01-2009 10:06 PM

Aaron you get up at 6.15 to be at work at 9? You're insane.

gaslight 04-01-2009 10:09 PM

Aaron just do a Seinfeld and turn the underneath of your desk into sleeping quarters.

You guys should definitely all go Progfest at the Annandale in May. It'll be probably the biggest festival of local Sydney bands in living memory.
