For fuck's sake... this is why I can't stand this forum outside of this thread, even in this thread at times. I can't make a simple goddamn thread ABOUT A MUSICIAN that stays on track, just because of who it is. I was about to make a post in there, when I went to submit it, the thread was closed. People are goddamn idiots.

Here's what I was going to say for any mods reading it:
I closed it because of the argument, not because of who the musician was.

I'll re-open it but if any arguing continues, it's gone.

I like your avatar, Gav. It makes me titter.

I realize why it was closed. I was saying that people just couldn't keep themselves from arguing because of who the musician is.

For everyone it's just, "Sade? Fuck him and screw this thread about him! Blah blah blah! I have nothing useful to say so I'll just spam!"

But the thread was created for the purpose of spreading music, not spreading idiocy.

The Iron Maiden thread could be closed.

Partly due to me...

Hey.

thelowsoundofbass 10-11-2006 03:31 PM

So last night at practice before we tried this one new song our one guitar player says "keep the cymbals splashy and take the bass line for a walk" (if you don't know what movie that is from you should punch yourself in the face right now). So I decided that I would make up a nice walking line for this song (nice and slow with easy chord changes), now keep in mind that I can't walk to save my life. Anyway I pull it off well and after we are done with the song the same guitar player turns to me and says "I didn't actually mean it, but that was cool".

What movie?

BenJammin 10-11-2006 03:46 PM
What movie?
No, no. Don't question it.

Just do as lowsound says. Punch yourself in the face right now.

It's not proper for you to not know something that he does.

Spaceman Spiff 10-11-2006 03:48 PM

I guess I should punch myself in the face, too...

BenJammin 10-11-2006 03:49 PM
I guess I should punch myself in the face, too...
I already punched myself twice, so you're good.

thelowsoundofbass 10-11-2006 03:51 PM

Are you serious that you don't know what movie that is from? It is only one of the most quoted movies of the last 3 years.

Left Shoe 10-11-2006 03:53 PM

i guess i should punch myself in the face as well, low sound rules at the internet =P

Spaceman Spiff 10-11-2006 03:54 PM

Lowsound is the victor.

thelowsoundofbass 10-11-2006 03:54 PM

*bows* but that really wasn't what the story was about.

lowsound

Spaceman Spiff 10-11-2006 03:56 PM

Are you going to tell us what movie it was?

Left Shoe 10-11-2006 03:57 PM

thanks to google we know lowsound is either quoting anchorman or dancing for decadence

Anchorman.

Spaceman Spiff 10-11-2006 04:09 PM

I saw Anchorman once about a year ago... I didn't find it very funny.

I've been told by my brother that he didn't find it all that funny the first time, but then saw it again at a later time and thought it was hilarious.

I didn't find that very funny either.

PietroCrespi 10-11-2006 04:18 PM

Me either.

Spaceman Spiff 10-11-2006 04:25 PM

I'm sick and it sucks.

My throat is all swollen, I've got a headache that just won't go away, and I'm just feeling like crap in general.

Radiobass81 10-11-2006 04:44 PM

Corey Lidle died, at 34.

I'm pouring my heart out and writing a song for him. I really liked him... :(

PietroCrespi 10-11-2006 04:59 PM

I just read about him dying. My dad's been a diehard Red Sox fan for 53 years, so I can't say that I was a huge Yankees fan.

Radiobass81 10-11-2006 05:02 PM

I like the Phillies, I'm a big Yankees fan, and even if I wasn't, it's still sad.

kilian 10-11-2006 05:03 PM

kilian 10-11-2006 05:10 PM

Tsk.

So empty.. So empty..

Radiobass81 10-11-2006 05:12 PM

Alright, although it's nothing fancy, I think I'm just going to improvise in C for over some random chord changes.

I'll call it "2CL" (copied from 2JN, I know...).

PaulSimonon 10-11-2006 05:20 PM

Heylo guys.

*hopes Jorge is still here*
