Why did you get the best ofs?!

ashman 01-21-2005 10:50 AM

This thread is moving so fast lately...it's confusing me *runs around in circles*

Anyway, I found my love for the Clansman, it's an amazing song :thumb:

Dannyboy15 01-21-2005 11:33 AM

I have the Rock in Rio version. Its far better than studio.

I agree, Steves acoustic bass sounds great.

ashman 01-21-2005 02:47 PM

Yeah true, it is a great song live too. Nearly as good as Infinite Dreams live...

u know what bass that is?`im wanting to get an acustic bass.. but he probaly have one of thoose high eend, expensive as hell basses..

YDload 01-21-2005 03:46 PM

Here's a topic for discussion that I don't think we've ever covered:

What is your favorite Steve Harris end-of-song crazy bass riff? When the song's over and everyone's just sort of going crazy, and Steve always does the coolest-sounding riffs.

I like the one in Run to the Hills, probably because it's one of the few that I've seen tabbed out on mxtabs.

Dannyboy15 01-21-2005 04:00 PM

Phantom of the opera

YDload 01-21-2005 04:04 PM
Phantom of the opera
I don't think that song has one, it just ends with Paul screaming "Torture me back at ya lair!"

Thunder Fingers 01-21-2005 04:14 PM

yeah, phantom have an rather constant end..

Dannyboy15 01-21-2005 04:14 PM

IAJP 01-21-2005 04:25 PM

The official Iron Maiden website is such a good resource,
you can download like...1 minute excerpts from any song, on any album by Maiden.
so...

I decided I'm gonna go out tommorow and buy powerslave:)

Maiden are really good about keeping their fans in touch. More so than most any other band. They have a good forum too.

It's so true,
More so with DOD, They comercialised a bit,
but they kept the original fans, plus entertained the newer fans.

Maiden are simply my favourite metal band of all time :).

Josh 01-21-2005 05:15 PM

get this week's kerrang magazine if you can. theres 2 or 3 pages on maiden, just random facts. quite entertaining though.

ive never been on the maiden forums.

IAJP 01-21-2005 05:45 PM

GurS 01-22-2005 05:40 AM

40?

I'm waiting (hoping) for them to say Earl's Court.

London > Everywhere else in England.

Except Donnington.

Maiden to play London Astoria...that would kick anus.

Stevie 01-22-2005 08:09 AM

Since it's an "Early days tour (right?)" does that not mean their set list will be more old inclined?

ForiegnPenguin 01-22-2005 08:12 AM

Are they coming to America anytime soon?
