But it will be hard. Ishida Uryuu broke his bow in order to gain enough spiritual energy to defeat this fag captain. Then he did win, and became really weak, and got arrested and put in a cell. In this cell was Ganju, and Sado-kun. Sado-kun got owned by this other Captain. That Captain was a smart arse.

Here's a good question.

There is an arts scholarship in my area which basically gives the winner $2000(AUD) towards their chosen art form. I'm hoping to win next year, or the year after, and buy bass gear with the money.

Thing is, I have no idea what I would spend it on. I've got a pretty big list of new gear that I need/will need at some point in the future.

Recording setup
New bass
New amp
Boss RC-20

Oh yeah, the question. If you had $2000AUD to spend, what would you buy/what would you recommend me to buy first?

The reason I want it is pretty simple...

I am in a band which relies on having (IMO) strong bass and more importantly, some crunchy distortion on the guitars as a backbone. When both guitars are doing a harmonised lead line, there's zero crunch. Just bass thump. So in those sections, I am thinking of getting a bit of distortion on.

Though I'm possibly thinking of running strong overdrive rather than a distortion. I really want to keep definition and bass in the sound.

Like splitting the signal somehow to have bass seperate from the distorted bass. Like a clean/dirty rig, but without two amps. Is that even possible...?
