checked the voicemail and this guy introduces himself and says the call is regarding an entry we made in some big sweepstakes and he has "very good news" and he left a toll free number that we can call him back at

u must get spammed with mail

how do you not enter them you can sign up for sweepstakes anywhere

the publishers clearing house sends out entry forms in the mail all of the time, there are state and local sweepstakes, national sweepstakes, everyone has a website with the entry forms available

have you never entered a cash prize drawing before or what how is this a foreign concept to you

people win millions and billions of dollars from these all the time it's just usually they're really old people who don't have enough time left to enjoy the money because it took them 60 years to get a winning entry

those sweepstakes generally exist to troll stupid people and take their money

how do they take your money you don't have to spend money to enter a sweepstakes

i have a wider variety of specialty education from the jobs i've had than anyone who spent four years focusing on a single major so uneducated uh no

and when did i blame the higher education system for anything in my own life the only thing i blame it for is stealing money from dumb people that think their degree is worth shit when >75% of their class received the same one

i pity most college graduates there's nothing quite like being unemployed for four years and racking up $21,000+ in long-term debt that will only accrue interest just so you can go work at mcdonalds

also why did sam make a thread about me i don't even know if i've won anything i just know the people that hand out the multi-million dollar prizes have very good news for me

and i have no debt from them

i didnt get anything from them that i can put on a resume (except for winning a history prize), but they were soooo worth it and had such a profound impact on who i am and what my future is going to be like

yeah but isn't architecture a relatively cheap field of study i would imagine you can cover most of that with loans grants and scholarships

but then again the government has an exclusive claim on college loans so through the tax cycle you're basically still paying for your tuition and so are a lot of other people

my first two years were for astrophysics

i took a year off and am going for architecture now, which i'm paying for myself cuz it's at a public uni and it's way cheaper. but still too much money

worst part about being single after 2 years of regular sex is now obvious to me.
