I have Pet Sounds. It's pretty good. I'm a sucker for the Beach Boys though..

I find it funny that they made songs about surfing and all that, when only Dennis actually surfed.

:x

RockAndRoll 01-06-2006 10:17 PM

the original posers!

JonG 01-06-2006 10:19 PM

Did anybody see that Beach Boys movie?

:o

omg! and such

The Beach Boys were great. They make me happy.

Danger Bird 01-06-2006 10:22 PM
so...did you guys know that hendrix tapped?
Yeah, man, I saw that in this DVD my dad's got.
My dad was a Dead Head. He saw them over 30 times he said. He's seen lots of people though..
My friend Tom's dad is a republican Dead head. A rare breed indeed.

rhymes lol

BludgeonySteve 01-06-2006 10:24 PM

Yeah, I kind of remember that. I don't remember what song or what DVD but I do remember it.

robo2448 01-06-2006 10:24 PM

I just sent out Band of Gypsies.

I love this Cream bootleg. Thanks bus. I seem to become more and more obsessed with Cream everyday. I don't know how I listen to them so much but I just can't stop listening to them.

I like Pet Sounds, but I also have a Greatest Hits cd by the Beach Boys that isn't nearly as good as Pet Sounds.

I like Jack Johnson, great relaxing music.

Come on, are you saying that You've Got a Friend isn't a manly song? I don't really like James Taylor btw. Not bad, but not interesting enough to listen to a full cd of his.

clown_phobia 01-06-2006 10:25 PM

What're everyone's favourite songs off The beatles' revolver?

It's just like the lead singer from Boston always singing about partying, when in fact he was the biggest nerd ever in high schoool/college.
What're everyone's favourite songs off The beatles' revolver?
She Said, She Said
Good Day Sunshine
And Your Bird Can Sing
Taxman

I'm listening to Village Green Preservation Society now.

clown_phobia 01-06-2006 10:35 PM

I havent decided my favourite songs off it yet - they're all so good!

I really love that bit in And your bird can sing, where it goes "and your bird can sing... but you dont get me". I love the chord change at "but you dont get me". Pure lennon genious

JonG 01-06-2006 10:39 PM

I personally like She Said, She Said the best. Something about it that's awesome.

I was listening to Eight Days A Week this morning. That is my favorite early Beatles song. It's so good.

"I'm Only Sleeping"

easily

clown_phobia 01-06-2006 11:25 PM

Yeah, I'm only sleeping is really really good. One of my favourite songs and really fun to play. I really love the sound of it. I love all the instruments and the singing.

jpj 01-06-2006 11:36 PM

Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, She Said, She Said, and I'm Only Sleeping are my favorites. Gov't Mule played She Said, She Said when I saw them last year, it was cool.

I really didn't much care for Pet Sounds.

TheDMV: I keep thinking you're Schyma because he used to have like that exact same avatar.

JonG 01-06-2006 11:48 PM

I just learned the riff in "I Feel Fine". Such a good song.

clown_phobia 01-06-2006 11:48 PM

What do you guys think of 'run for your life' by the beatles?

One of my favourite things about I feel fine is the riff. This is yet another beatles song that has such an awesome vocal melody.
What the fuck is wrong with Yellow Submarine!???!?!?!?!!
I just find it really annoying. I'll give it another listen right now.

NP: Yellow Submarine

RockAndRoll 01-07-2006 12:33 AM

I'm going to have to third this one.

Edit: that there's nothing wrong with yellow submarine.

It's worse than that one "Summer Loving" song from Grease.
It's worse than that one "Summer Loving" song from Grease.
omg. My sister used to play the Grease soundtrack all the time, so annoying.

She also used to play the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack, but that's a different thing altogether

np: T. Rex - Bang A Gong <<<< This song makes me feel funky. Like I wanna dance or something.

RockAndRoll 01-07-2006 12:41 AM

haha no way.

JonG 01-07-2006 12:42 AM

I hate Yellow Submarine. I always skip that and Eleanor Rigby. I hear them way too often.

Get It On is a good song :)

I have Electric Warrior.
