What the hell ? :-/
Well, in his Tool thread, he asked "What is your favorite Tool track? Mine is Lateralus (title track). What's yours?"

So being the prick that I was at the time, I told him to go to the official Tool thread and noted that Tool has more than one album.

That might be what he's alluding to.
What's wrong with that thread?
I was under the impression that that kind of a topic is against the rules.

Bartender 03-29-2005 07:57 PM

Well anyway, I've listened to all but five of my newly purchased records today, so in a few minutes I think I'm going to leave those for tomorrow, go watch an episode of The Simpsons while eating an easter egg of some kind, and then go to bed.

That might not really be strike worthy but...are you sure we can't ban him?

Jom 03-29-2005 07:58 PM

Goodbye for when you leave, Bartender.

ATM 03-29-2005 07:58 PM

What did you get?

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:01 PM

This place is kind of slow at the moment, so how about I give you all all the album names, and see how many of the band names you can figure out?

Or should we just go for the lazy option, and I'll just give you the list :-/

I'd like that game if you're not too lazy :)

ATM 03-29-2005 08:07 PM

Yea I want to try and guess the bands.

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:14 PM

Okay then;

The Bends
Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do
The Man-Machine
Speaking in Tongues
Fear of Music
Pink Flag
Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables
Candy Apple Grey
Inflammable Material

No order there, just whatever order they're lying in next to me. Not all R&M material, either.

Jom 03-29-2005 08:15 PM

It's time to play the game !

The first one is Radiohead :eng101:

How could you possibly know that...stalker!

I only skimmed it, I'm not well versed enough to know all the bands in there, so I read reviews of what I have, and glanced at the top ten or so and other stuff I knew of, but don't have :-/

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:27 PM

I saw you post there :)

Three of them are in the top 10 (well, including the Dead Kennedys), actually.

And I really didn't go out with the intention of buying the Punk forum's top 100. They just were all there, and cheap.
Is Pink Flag by Wire?
Yep.

ATM 03-29-2005 08:32 PM

I should get some rep for that :)

Permanent Solution 03-29-2005 08:32 PM

I recognized the name FWT, but didn't remember the artist, after looking in the thread I remember why...I had never heard of them before reading the review :-/

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:35 PM

Well it's one of the ones I've listened to so far, and it's actually pretty good. I suppose I should give you the rest now (though I was kind of using this as an excuse to stay up longer, listening to the Beatles). Give me a minute.

Bartender 03-29-2005 08:37 PM

The Man-Machine - Kraftwerk
Candy Apple Grey - Husker Du (excuse the lack of umlauts)
Inflammable Material - Stiff Little Fingers
Guero - Beck
This Year's Model - Elvis Costello
Holocaust in Your Head - Extreme Noise Terror
Fuck World Trade - Leftover Crack

I've not yet listened to Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Costello, Beck or Talking Heads '77.

ATM 03-29-2005 08:39 PM

I'm going to pick up that Beck album.
