i started like 2 years ago, but after each book i take like 6 or so months off before the next one, so it's a slow process

its easily one of the best fantasy series ive ever read. plot is pretty much incredible. really intricate and pretty realistic also - the author doesn't pull any punches to keep the heroes alive, he's not afraid at all to kill off your favorite character.

ill keep it in mind for when i finish the wheel of time. i also need to read some feist too, but i cant handle too much fantasy, it bores me after a book so i need to do it with long intervals.

GRRM is really not like any other fantasy writer. no dragons and wizards fighting and kingdoms being burned by orcs etc

I love steampunk. I watched some steampunk movies most of them turned out to be quite bad(Mutant Diaries, City of Lost Children). I'd like to read a good steampunk book. Don't know any tho.

they're an instant kill with headshots, and rumored to be instant kills in general.

it probably won't be an instant kill since there will be regular knives, frags, and stickies. plus, a head shot with a throwing knife will be super ****ing hard.
