Generic metalcore is a lot more fun than generic death metal tbh.

i love considered dead from gorguts, and so i was listening to the erosion of sanity to see if it would be as good, and i was reading the booklet that goes with it and deron miller from cky did the foreword or whatever. i knew he liked death metal but it was still weird. He and James Murphy are supposed to be releasing a Chuck Schuldiner tribute any time now, and Jeff Loomis has a guest solo on it :thumb:

Jeff Loomis is too busy brushing his hair to actually work on it, I guess.

his solo has actually already been cut. i think he did it in 2005. and i know dino cazares is on the project as well and some other gay people but also some great players.

yeah i dont really care, but it was odd the way he wrote it, it sounded like some 40year old jerk off who was only writing it for a paycheck, really non-deron miller sounding if you follow.

one thing he said was a parody of the song condemned to obscurity, since gorguts got dropped from roadrunner and were on hiatus for a while he said:
"after 5 years of being condemned to obscurity, gorguts released an album that made the erosion of sanity look like child's play"

i did it on the review site with the initial intention of giving it a 2, but it worked its way up to a 4 after it started to grow on me a bit. its still the only corpsegrinder i can stand.

Cannibal Corpse with Corpsegrinder is good musically too though. :(
