niceyo

Watching those RATM videos makes me really want to see them live. One of the few solid 'rock' bands that never seem to lose credability, but I guess that's because they have so much more to their sound.

RedMorningLight 05-02-2007 09:14 AM

The leeds lineup was added to yesterday or something...kinda suprised at how many bands with a little back catalogue are playing good spots, but I guess that leaves room for really good acts to play the second and third stages. Example being LCD soundsystem being third on the 2nd stage while a really awful band like Little Man Tate have got a main stage spot. I guess its because the organisers are favouring British acts that can pull in the 'lads and lasses' crowd.

ATM 05-02-2007 09:29 AM

Hey did you see the hip hop albums I suggesed for you in the diggin' thread?

Sepstrup 05-02-2007 10:42 AM

People should upload some Roskilde recommendations for me. See the Roskilde Festival thread for more information :)

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:19 PM

has anybody listened to Deep Puddle Dynamics yet?

p.s. yea Sepstrup ill put up Grizzly Bear - Yellow House

edit and Beirut - Gulag Orkestar too

ATM 05-02-2007 12:25 PM

I should check out DPD. I enjoyed most of what you put up on the mailing list the other day.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:31 PM

yeah, and sweeeet thanks for dling. what did you and did you not enjoy?

ATM 05-02-2007 12:37 PM

I enjoyed the Most Serene Republic, Dr. Octagon, and I forget what else.

I am planning on doing a mega-issue filled with good stuff.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 12:48 PM

niice yeah those are both good, maybe i'll do the other album i have for both of those artists. for MSR its shorter but possibly more interesting and for Dr. Octagon its like ten years older or something so the production is what you would expect from that but its excellent too. and hell yeah do so, if you did i would definitely listen and let you know what i think

Kyle 05-02-2007 01:08 PM

Which MSR was in the issue? Phages owns the other one so hard. But they're both decent.

perriwinkle 05-02-2007 01:16 PM

yeah i like Phages better too. i put up Underwater Cinematographer

Glitterati 05-02-2007 04:13 PM

My video games because beating people up in video games makes me feel better about the time I got brutally beaten up on the first day of high school.

I've got a lot of crap to deal with tomorrow that I'm really not looking forward to... but none of that matters because I have a tophat on.

So, whats a material possession that has made you feel better?
I actually bought a bike yesterday for the same reason, weirdly enough. Well, I kind of want to get back into biking as well. It cost me quite a bit, but i'm working full time now + I got loads of birthday money. Yeah, I'm 18 now - it's cool to go to bars now knowing you won't get knocked back. But anyway, bikes are well worth the money, I think.

Thanks 05-03-2007 10:19 AM

Biking is an important part of my musical process!

Boilermaker 05-03-2007 10:25 AM

I bike to work and stuff. It's pretty fun. I've had the same bike for a while, and it's starting to get a bit small, so I might look into getting a new one soon.

I ruv my bike tho.
