I just read an article in Metal Hammer about Maiden, and as it turns out; The Dance of Death live DVD will be the last part of the Iron Maiden History, it will be released in the early Autumn. But they said that the subsequent DVDs after will fill in the gaps.

Thunder Fingers 03-18-2005 10:07 AM

I hope the next DVD has a whole World Slavery show. Powerslaves my favorite album.

It might have a bit of that, probably about 5-6 songs.

Deth 03-18-2005 10:41 AM

The stage shows really kewl. The next DVD will probably go up to SSOASS right?

NP: Total Eclipse-You know who

I reckon it would go up to SSOASS. Might have a bit of Maiden England on it... :naughty:

GurS 03-18-2005 12:07 PM

Wasn't Maiden England released in 1992?

Josh 03-18-2005 12:28 PM

1994 according to amazon. it also says it includes heaven can wait, but i though they never played any of somewhere in time live?

Deth 03-18-2005 12:49 PM

Who knows. Anyway, I'll be first in line for Part 2, I'll tell you that. I've watched the Early Days, including the documentary about 4 times.

coolidgeALL 03-18-2005 12:52 PM

This probably has been covered many times, but do you think they'll ever release another album?

i'm gonna get that dance of death dvd!

Deth 03-18-2005 12:54 PM

Of course. They've said that they don't want to become a jukebox like some other bands *cough Sabbath cough*.

On another note, according to blabbermouth, they're going to play an Early Days set at Reading as well.

coolidgeALL 03-18-2005 12:57 PM

Just made me day

Deth 03-18-2005 01:04 PM

Good to hear.

But...that means no Powerslave, SSOAS, BNW or Dance of Death. It's a double edged sword if you ask me.

vashts80 03-18-2005 02:59 PM

They played Heaven Can Wait a lot before Bruce left...I have the Donington '93 boot as well as Raising Hell, it's on both of them.

MAthiAS 03-18-2005 03:01 PM

Are they going to go back to the studio after the summer touring?

GurS 03-18-2005 03:46 PM

i don't think they'll be going back into the studio till 2006

Josh 03-18-2005 04:52 PM

agreed. they are almost certainly playing leeds / reading: they do ozzfest until the 20th august, then they are in dublin on the 31st august, so that should put them in the UK for Leeds / Reading weekend

Thunder Fingers 03-19-2005 06:35 AM

nicko have said somthing about that they will play the classics... so i bet the clairvoyant, 2 minutes to midnight and/or the evil that man do will be there....
(and maby Can i play with madness...)

ashman 03-19-2005 06:53 AM
Wasn't Maiden England released in 1992?
I thought it was on the Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour, I'll just check when it was recorded. It was recored on the 27th and 28th of November 1988, so that is the Seventh tour of a seventh tour. Don't know why it wasn't released for a while.

ashman 03-19-2005 06:55 AM
Are they going to go back to the studio after the summer touring?
Nicko did say that they are planning to release an Album some time next year, so I reckon they probably will be going back to the studio after a wee break from touring.

shadow_stalker 03-19-2005 06:59 AM

I hope that they do release a new album soon.

Which album should i look into getting next 7TH SON OF A 7TH
SON or FEAR OF THE DARK?

ashman 03-19-2005 07:01 AM

7th Son easily :thumb:

shadow_stalker 03-19-2005 07:03 AM

Ok will do.

hehe im gonna try and order some Nicko sticks off of maidens website.

I love how Maiden's website shows stuff in £ rather than $.

Thunder Fingers 03-19-2005 07:05 AM

7th...

Bruce is releasing somthing new now.,..

GurS 03-19-2005 07:07 AM

fancy.

they probably released it in '94 coz people wanted more Bruce, even though he had left.

ashman 03-19-2005 07:14 AM
7th...

Didn't know he was still doing solo work.

Riva 03-19-2005 07:28 AM

I suppose he keeps it quiet. Most people see solo work as a sign a band is breaking up.

Josh 03-19-2005 09:59 AM

i dont have any of his solo work, i'm going to get some of it though

ashman 03-19-2005 10:46 AM
i dont have any of his solo work, i'm going to get some of it though
I could send you some on MSN later if you want :thumb:

coolidgeALL 03-19-2005 05:17 PM

Is it worth checking out?

Deth 03-19-2005 06:03 PM

I've heard a couple of his tracks and I like it. He has a best of album somehow.

coolidgeALL 03-19-2005 06:25 PM

Thats cool, I'll have to look into that.

Has anyone noticed that in "the number of the beast" video, there are 3 misfits references? the misfits skull logo pops up on the screen and another time a guy wearing a misfits mask shoots a gun I believe.

Deth 03-19-2005 06:29 PM

I haven't noticed all 3. I'll have to watch the Visions of the Beast again.

Wow. That was a really random comment coolidge.

coolidgeALL 03-19-2005 06:33 PM

Yea, I was just watching it today and I thought i saw something flash acoss the screen real fast so I went back a few seconds and sure enough it was the misfits logo. I don't understand why it would be in a maiden video though, unless they influenced them? probly not tho.

Deth 03-19-2005 06:41 PM

I doubt it. I don't know what year the Misfits formed but it wasn't early enough to influence Maiden. Strange.

NP: Scarred-Dream Theater

coolidgeALL 03-19-2005 06:43 PM

Yea, that is kinda weird. They started in 77' I think. yea. Good video tho!

Deth 03-19-2005 06:52 PM

If by good you mean unbelievably cheesy and nonsensical then yes, I agree.

musicanity 03-19-2005 08:06 PM
Yea, that is kinda weird. They started in 77' I think. yea. Good video tho!
Maiden started in 76. :thumb:

GurS 03-20-2005 08:39 AM

i got his first album (bruces), Tattooed Millionaire. Dear god it's cheesy, but the title track rawks :thumb:

ashman 03-20-2005 11:21 AM
