Death metal from the 80's is very different from death metal from the 90's, newer death metal has a bit of a different style to it as well, and NO it has nothing to do with hardcore, goddamn.

Pig squeals are sweet as hell. I know I'm nowhere near as good at them as like, All Shall Perish, Job For A Cowboy, or Circle Of Dead Children's singer, but I still like doing them.

And that's why I do them, because most of my favorite vocalists do them.

I hate them because everyone and their dog does them now and it seems that as long as you make noises into the mic you can be a death metal band. They are easy to do and thats why it doesnt take any talent to do them since ANYONE can do it...but hey if thats your thing, whatever

It's all about doing it so that you don't wreck your throat though, pig squeels are long e's, and that's the most closed you can get your throat and still have sound pass.

yeah actually I can. I dont have any audio to back that up but Ive done it before just messing around on a mic. Everyone CAN do them...its just a matter of doing them well which half the bands doing them (Waking the Cadaver, etc) are 1 dimentional

Ugh, Barnes era is mostly lame. The first album is fun, and select tracks from the 2nd and 3rd are okay and The Bleeding is good minus Barnes. I think Corpsegrinder is far, far superior and musically CC are much better also.

That album is good. Corpsegrinder sounds great.

Corpsegrinder keeps getting better to my ears. I feel sorry for his voice in about a decade though, if it's still around.

It's barely functioning now outside of screaming :p
