I listened to the first time in a few months Live after Death. Ah the Rime....Powerslave for me is forgotten by me....
How about this: First Maiden album(s) you ever bought? For me I first downloaded S/T (Don't worry I've got it properly now!) then I bought Somewhere In Time, Fear of the Dark and DoD. |
first album i bought number of the beast, but i prefer the first album "iron maiden"
|
I can't stand Blaze's Voice. Bruce does Blaze songs better than Blaze ever could.
have to disagree with you there... Blaze is a brilliant vocallist obviously bruce is better BUT they are very different styles and it is very difficult to compare I know I defend Blaze alot... but someone has to... Blaze sign of the cross> bruce sign of the cross |
My first Maiden album ever was Powerslave.
And Bruce: The Clansman > Blaze: The Clansman, my good sir. :) |
first album was rock in rio
fave album iron maiden  |

one of 'arry's worst "epics"
Well, I like it. :) *waits for the familiar, "But, you like The Apparition" argument* :p |
i dont like the intro to clansman anymore... i think you al remember the cause to that...
|
meh...
its ok (clansman not apperition) but the apperition is just as bad as some of the other songs on that album fear is the key? weekend warrior? It took me a while to actually think of two songs from that album's filler tracks |
Haha. Weekend warrior is hilarious.

Well well well, I have finally found my metal home! Ahhh nice <sits his big ol'arse down and kicks is feet up and grabs a "soda">
So nice to be amongst such smart and friendly Maiden folk. Just when I was starting to feel old!. Thanks guys! I have been a Maiden fan since the early 80's and have never looked back. There were a few albums that I didn't care for very much. but as artists we are all allowed a few bad moments...every album cannot be 2112, Sgt.Peppers or POWERSLAVE! right?. anyway..nice to meet you all and keep crankin Maiden! -Thornis :thumb: |
cool, welcome...
|
Welcome to the forums man. I think we all share your views on the albums. Some just didn't cut it. But even the less preferred ones were pretty good.
|
fear of the dark, no prayer, and virtual xi?

Those would be the ones. |
well to be honest. I haven't picked up a Maiden album in years...the last was Fear of the Dark..not bad but not the Powerslave I am used. Maybe I am an old codger or a purest but hell, at least they are still out there, making music and touring! For that, I will never ever complain!.
Can some of you who are into the newer Maiden stuff, recommend the best so I can check it out? I appreciate your help! Upstate NY Maiden Fan! -Thornis |
yeah but a few songs off them albums are still good, fear of the dark gets the crowd going :thumb:

well i like DOD even though it is not as good as BNW
paschendale is magnificent... |
My first album was Number of the Beast... the first maiden song i ever heard was "bring your daughter", which i thought was ok but pretty unremarkable - I couldn't understand why they had such a great reputation.
Then I heard Run to the Hills. I bought NOTB shortly after, and never went back. The order in which I got my Maiden albums: NOTB Powerslave FOTD (same time as Powerslave) DOD BNW S/T Edward the Great SSOASS * Killers * LAD * LAD * (all starred bought at same time) NPFTD Beast of the Beast X-Factor Go acronyms :) |
