Destiny is easily Stratovarius' best album.

Shattered_Future 05-01-2006 05:36 PM

I realized as soon as I get enough money, I'm getting Resurrection. I bought a Galloglass album from the same label, and the amount of extra stuff you get is ridiculous. And I love extra stuff. :)

Riva 05-01-2006 05:39 PM

Yes. Resurrection comes with a poster and a sticker too! However, you don't get a DVD, but rather the Live In Japan CD.

Stormrider 05-01-2006 05:47 PM

The only other Stratovarius album I want at the moment is Episode.

I didn't get that stuff

:upset:

Stormrider 05-01-2006 07:05 PM

Galloglass..I'm thinking of either ordering(if I ever do) Heaven Seeker or Legends from now and Nevermore. Still not sure which. Any recommendations ?

I finally found a site that I liekd with stuff that had decent prices and very low shipping...amazon.ca :)

Apocalyptic Raids 05-01-2006 07:46 PM

Amazon is great, although for me it takes at least two weeks for something to arrive here.

Stormrider 05-01-2006 07:48 PM

Well since it ships from Canada, I think it takes 3-5 days...or something liek that. Could be wrong, I'de have to check.

Amazon usualy don't have the best preices on the net though...

Speaking of buying albums, i just bought a whole shit load.
Power metal purchases include:
Angra-temple of shadows
Edguy-Rocket ride
DragonForce-inhuman rampage

Not power metal:
Judas priest- british steel

Good day it was

Gotta be the Limited Edition version for all of the extra cool stuff. :)

Apocalyptic Raids 05-02-2006 03:39 AM

Damn my lazy arse for only going to JB haha.

Riva 05-02-2006 05:03 AM

Hey Tim. Check your Dungeon email address and your LORD one. I got onto 'Mute, who was given limited Admin powers, to change your password, and he did. So we can have Lord Tim restored soon, hopefully.

Also, TOUR CAIRNS GAWDAMMIT.

Lord Tim 05-02-2006 05:16 AM

Yep, nothing at all there. The address definitely works... *shrugs*

No biggie - if this one works, then it's all good. :)

That's a hell of a good haul

British steel is my favourite Priest album bar Painkiller.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-02-2006 09:32 AM

I would probably take Stained Class and Screaming For Vengeance over British Steel, it still rules though.

Metal Gods \m/

Lord Abortion 05-02-2006 09:36 AM

Grinder FTW

Stoic 05-02-2006 11:55 AM

Rapid Fire is my favourite off British Steel \m/

shadow_stalker 05-02-2006 12:14 PM

this may sound strange but, the opening guitar chord on 'Rainbow in the dark' by Dio sounds alot like the opening chor to 'burden of grief' by galloglass

yes i am sad :p

I want an Angra album one day. I was surprised to see some in stores. I don't remember which albums it was though. All I remember is that there were very few of them...maybe just like one album.

Metal Gods and Rapid Fire are among Priest's best. I would love for them to put Rapid Fire in their setlist.

Riva 05-03-2006 06:16 AM

I still want them to play Hard As Iron live.

Angra's brilliant! "Temple of Shadows" and "Rebirth" are deffinite albums to eventually own

ExitWound 05-03-2006 11:29 AM

Can I make a request? Can someone send me some Running Wild? i haven't been able to find any samples other than Real Media format, and i'm not about to touch that (and i can't get them to work in Real Alternative either hmmm).

I'm looking for maybe one or two songs from each album. If you could send something, even clips, to incoming@theexitwound.com , I would be much appreciated :)

Trev 05-03-2006 12:01 PM

^I uploaded Black Hand Inn (remastered) for the daily upload. It'll probably be on tommorows issue so if you haven't signed up already, you should do so :)

Edit - Actually, it was just sent out about 7 minutes ago.

shadow_stalker 05-03-2006 12:04 PM

I sitll havnt got any Angra or running wild

anyone heard 'life and times of a bonus track' by Edguy? its got to be one of their best comedy style songs

Stormrider 05-03-2006 02:25 PM
Angra's brilliant! "Temple of Shadows" and "Rebirth" are deffinite albums to eventually own
I'll look into those albums then :)

That would be great, thanks :)

I only have a few songs by them...and out of the 8 or so I have, theres about 3 or 4 that are pretty cool, but still.

Shattered_Future 05-03-2006 02:43 PM

I found Angra kind of meh...few good songs here and there, but nothing that really grabs my attention.
