So today was the big day :eek: I popped into Glasgow in the morning with two of my friends and headed to the piercing shop where one was getting his eyebrow pierced - we were running a bit late (my appointment was at 1) so I had to leave him early and head to the other shop.
When we got there I stood in the que, when it was my turn I said I had an appointment and 1 and the lady just looked and me and went :confused: >: [
I said to her that I'd been booked in for over a month at the shop. She said to me that I'd been told the wrong shop to go to and that I'd have to go on the subway to get to the guy.
When we finally got there I was about 20 minutes late - the guy was really nice about it :)
First off he put a stencil on my side to make sure that the design was placed right. Then I lay down and he filled in the outline and black bits. That took about 1 hour 45. Then we had a little break and he redid the stencil and filled in the red which took about another hour.
The red was the worst, right on my rib cage. I could feel the needle scraping the bone. But I was a brave soldier >.< and carried on like a trooper.
It's hurting a bit now but it should calm down over night :D

plz excuse my bloody bra and the weird angle, it's too sore to bend any other way!

Full out. I'll either be buying that or decent amp. Maybe a cab too, but I won't be doing gigs for while so I don't see the point. I'll I have atm is a 10w practice amp.

Also t'is quite a nice design you go their zo ;)

To start off it was like a really bad chicken scratch. After a few seconds your body just gets used to it.
Then once your used to the feeling the ink runs out :p and you kinda go back to the beginning!
The ribs hurt like a bitch, I'm guessing it's because there's no real layer of fat there. It was no where near as bad as I thought it'd be though :)

I kept picturing what was happening when I was getting it done. I'm pretty sure that made the whole pain factor a bit worse :(
Kept seeing the needle rip into my skin. Then when he drew a line I imagined it scraping off layers and layers of flesh.

just go for it, I can almost guarentee you that it'll be no where near as sore as you think it'll be :)

I want a tattoo Jack Bauer has on his arm, although I think that might be taking fanboyism a little too far. I also want a Cyanide And Happiness cartoon tattoo on my arm, which is more feasible I guess.
