£20 which is about $35

Angry Balled Fists! 01-15-2006 09:00 AM

That is quite a lot, i was thinking of going to that Give it a name fest, but it's £55 for the weekend, and there aren't enough amazing bands.

DaveToopes 01-15-2006 09:02 AM

Yeah, that does seem a bit high.

Angry Balled Fists! 01-15-2006 09:04 AM

Oh that's a point, i'm gonna start saving for Leeds festival this year, i missed out last time, and i don't want to again.

DaveToopes 01-15-2006 09:07 AM

Who's playing?

RIP Ian Curtis 01-15-2006 09:07 AM

So how was everyone's weekend? Mine was supremely awesome, involving nut-punching, tequila-skulling, public-nuisancing fun. Also it cemented my hatred of "emo's" or "scenekids" or whatever the hell we're supposed to call new Green Day/My Chemical Romance/The Used fans these days.

DaveToopes 01-15-2006 09:09 AM

I still have two more days to my weekend. Martin Luther King Jr. day is tomorow, and then Tuesday is teacher grading day! Wooo! Four day weekend.

D & V 01-15-2006 09:10 AM

Star Wars: Episode VI

Jessizzle 01-15-2006 09:16 AM

Dont lie to me young man. Or ill cut your ear off.

DaveToopes 01-15-2006 09:34 AM

Oh, okay. It was about a week ago that I rose from the grave. Just in time for exams, too. Exams suck.

My weekend was pretty lame. Celebrated two of my friends birthdays, but everyone is kind of mad at eachother so... not so great.

And today I get to spend studying for midterm exams.

Jessizzle 01-15-2006 09:36 AM

My weekend. Was Awesome. friday night was the HEatskores, Saturday, snowboarding, and cake.

D & V 01-15-2006 09:47 AM

I went to a party. And had band practice.

RIP Ian Curtis 01-15-2006 09:49 AM

I'm desperate to start a Ska band up here in Perth. I've suddenly fallen in love with it for some reason. Now all my death-metal friends hate me and want to sacrifice me to some guy called stan.

Yeah, it's kinda sad. I actually belong more in the Alt/Indie forum, but I find this forum more interesting most of the time. Plus because of all the time I've spent in here, I'm finding a lot of punk music I never would've found.

I also only have about 35 CDs.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 01-15-2006 10:20 AM

I probably have around 65 cds, and probably triple that in albums on my computer.

coheneran 01-15-2006 10:24 AM

I have about 20 cds that are legal (ie. gifts or I paid for them), and god knows how many I copied. About 200-300 copied albums.

asdf 01-15-2006 10:27 AM

I'd have a lot more CDs except for:
1. Don't have enough money to buy CDs all the time
2. My parents/brother own a lot of the music I'd buy, so it's pointless to buy it
3. Downloading

sketchyjoe 01-15-2006 12:26 PM

I haevv about 100 CDs and probably a 1000 albums on my computer.

'Twas great. Met a really cool girl on Friday at a local show, watched Sin City last night which fu'cking owned, and I'm currently celebrating my mom's birthday today, which will soon involve going out to dinner and seeing a movie.

Add listening to RATM right now to that list, and I've got it made

Edit - Except first thing this morning after I woke up, I threw up, hard. Not fun. Other than that, good weekend.

DaveToopes 01-15-2006 12:30 PM

RATM is very, very good.

Skidmark Steve 01-15-2006 12:37 PM

Bands such as: Flogging Molly, The Briggs, The Suicide Machines, The Unseen, Big D, .... are comming to Philly pretty soon. I'm looking forward to them.

obese_breasts 01-15-2006 02:03 PM

I'm going to a party tonight for a girl I know who is leaving to spend 6 months in France on Wednesday. There's going to be a chocolate fountain.

At the new years eve party I went to, there was a chocolate fountain. I couldn't stop looking at it, or eating it, for that matter.

mmm, chocolate fountain. At a place my mom works there was this reception for something involving very rich people and it had a chocolate foutain. I was jealous that I couldn't go and enjoy it.

obese_breasts 01-15-2006 02:08 PM

This fountain was at another party I went to over WInter Break, it was magic.

asdf 01-15-2006 02:25 PM

Today I am taking a trip down memory lane, and listening to a local band that I followed around for a long time. They're the reason I listen to ska and punk.

I miss them :(

They definitely rule. I'm trying to sell their shirt that I have. People have desired it, but I've gotten no confirmations. You interested Juan?
