Have you heard those two ambient ones? Not sure if you'd be too terribly into Cylon just because it's very meditational vs. the dark whatever I've seen you grow fond of prior. Taiga Remains though is up your alley.

EDIT: And thank you.
sweet, youre back. always looking for some new dark ambient recs

ok guys (jon too, this is dark ambient with nature sounds)

i bought Solo Andata - Ritual blind at a record store last week and i gotta say i was pleasantly surprised. really well composed dark ambient with a great atmosphere that oscillates between intense and overbearing and light and ephemeral

EDIT: the only links for fairing's chapel i were able to find were dead. would you mind upping them?

don't enjoy NIN too much, but fuck when he hits on something it is powerful.

Aakon_Keetreh 10-12-2011 12:39 AM

NIN rules

Bitchfork 10-12-2011 12:45 AM

Dial-up prohibits me to upload anything, sorry. I just got my copy from soulseek. Fairing's Chapel isn't dark ambient explicitly if that's what you're expecting. It's got a darker tinge but certainly not dark ambient.

In the meantime, I suppose you could check into Celer's Close Proximity and the Unhindered Care-All. Again not dark ambient but there's a certain sense of melancholy that's rather strong and it's got a chock-load of nature/field recordings. You might also enjoy Deep Listening by Pauline Oliveros, Stuart Dempster, Panaiotis.

Not ambient, but still things I think you'll enjoy (and can hopefully find Live links for) Tohsimaru Nakamura's Egrets.

Haz 10-12-2011 01:04 AM

God i missed you b4k

read your Black Swan review and was like fuck where did this kid go

that sucks, where do you live that you have to deal with dial up?

and yeah, i don't necessarily have to have just dark ambient, but anything in that vein is awesome. experimental/musiq concrete/whatever

Aakon_Keetreh 10-12-2011 09:56 AM
