I Have Dreams are p good. Cold Like December are better though. and when it comes to metal-tinged emo Still Life are definitely the best I can think of right off the bat.

Man, I wish the LV scene was like it used to be.

Like, Street Smart Cyclist reunion show... I didn't recognize anybody, nobody (who used to go to shows in the area) goes to shows anymore, it's sad.

I wish my city *had* a scene. there are two bands in the whole city - that I know of - and they are both atrocious. there are never any shows that aren't national pop stars bullshit.

one guy bought The Pine CD-R off of me for two sodas though. that was awesome.

haven't listened to The Assistant in uh five years or something. I wonder why? I had kind of forgotten about You and I's full length and The Assistant. both bands are so fucking good though. listening to The Assistant's first full length right now.

I like how they go from the blink-182-ish cutesy punk rock sound to downbeat progressive ambient rock to raw as fuck grindcore to epic piano screamo that's sort of like Ache:Emelie and so on. amazing band, tbh.

not that interested in The Assistant, although from what I remember they didn't sound much like what you described, perhaps I ought to relisten
