Selling your amp? That's like selling your soul...
/worships at the Church of Nicko
"Invaders" is a Clive Burr song, just in case it hasn't been brought to your attention yet.

MAthiAS 03-16-2005 09:52 PM
Selling your amp? That's like selling your soul...
No, selling my guitar is like selling my soul. And its Maiden we're talking about here...

I want this early days setlist now we have done this before I think...
but still

Invaders
prowler
killers
where eagles dare
children of the ****ed
still life
revelations
the trooper
murders in the rue morgue
another life/twilight zone/purgatory medley( that's a good idea)
strange world
hallowed be thy name
iron maiden
..........................
remember tomorrow
..........................
the number of the beast
sanctuary

I have a funny feeling they won't play run to the hills
they may finish with running free rather thn sanctuary

Black Dog 03-17-2005 05:29 AM

which albums are on early days

Lord Abortion 03-17-2005 05:32 AM

iron maiden
killers
NOTB
piece of mind

ashman 03-17-2005 06:03 AM

The medley thing would be scary to say the least.

Lord Abortion 03-17-2005 06:40 AM
The medley thing would be scary to say the least.
 but I want to hear them all...
and they are short so a medley would make sense

ashman 03-17-2005 06:46 AM

Could do, I think those 3 songs are all supposed to be linked somehow.

coolidgeALL 03-17-2005 08:30 AM

They seriously have to many **** good songs to do in one set

ashman 03-17-2005 09:12 AM

'Tis true. The should do a marathon of all their good songs.

Lord Abortion 03-17-2005 09:17 AM

sings...

"As I lay here lying on my bed,
Sweet voices come into my head.
What it is I wanna know,
Please won't you tell me it's got to go.

There's a feeling that's inside me,
Telling me to get away.
But I'm so tired of living,
I might as well end today."

Deth 03-17-2005 09:49 AM
This is kind of off topic, but with Ozzfest how does the rotating slot thing work?
In years past they rotated the second stages bands order. Like one day Throwdown would go first, then the next day God Forbid would go first. Lamb of God, Hatebreed and Slipknot stayed the same because they headlined the 2nd stage. :thumb:

Go to both fests if you can. Do it for my lack of Maiden.

ashman 03-17-2005 02:12 PM

Bumpage...

BTW I gave up learning Still Life, bloody awkward song.

MAthiAS 03-17-2005 03:39 PM

Why wouldn't they play Run to the Hills?

ashman 03-17-2005 03:41 PM
Why wouldn't they play Run to the Hills?
They will, it is on NOTB.

Josh 03-17-2005 03:44 PM
Why wouldn't they play Run to the Hills?
they've played it at all gigs for...however many years. they may want to play something different. personally i think they will still play it, its one of their signature tracks

ashman 03-17-2005 03:47 PM

They didn't play it during the Blaze days (well not that I'm aware of) and they didn't play it on the Seventh Tour of a Seventh tour.

GurS 03-17-2005 03:47 PM

LOL, I was talking about the intro. Daves all over the place for that bit. The rest isn't too bad.

Riva 03-17-2005 04:30 PM

Run To The Hills wouldn't match with SSOASS anyway.

vashts80 03-17-2005 04:43 PM

They rarely played Run to the Hills on the BNW tour as well, I believe Rio was the only date they actually played it.

Lightning_Rider 03-17-2005 04:54 PM

I wish Maiden would come to Canada, specifically Montreal... :upset:

ForiegnPenguin 03-17-2005 05:01 PM

Can't wait for the Ozzfest.

podbassist 03-17-2005 09:01 PM

iron maiden is coming to ozzfest 2005 and i am going. I think i just splooged.

blue3 03-17-2005 09:58 PM
I wish Maiden would come to Canada, specifically Montreal... :upset:
Yeah I wish Iron Maiden would come to Canada too

thelittledrummerboy 03-17-2005 11:23 PM

Canada then Australia.

ashman 03-18-2005 04:18 AM
They rarely played Run to the Hills on the BNW tour as well, I believe Rio was the only date they actually played it.
Yeah that is true. Apparently, they hadn't rehearsed it for a long time

Lord Abortion 03-18-2005 05:27 AM

but they played it and it was brilliant

but the whole point of the early days tour is to play ongs that haven't been played for a while and RTTH was played last time
I know that other stuff was too but... hallowed be thy name pwns run to the hills
