I dunno, i liked five years in a livetime, the audio commentary was very in depth, and some of the events are pretty memorable, like the show with Steve Howe and Marillion. allthough its a bit mismatched...
Yeah, I listened to some of the commentary and it was really interesting. The version of Easter on their sounds amazing.

That's because Rush are awesome.

GenuineImitation 03-26-2006 12:17 AM

Can someone send me When Dream and Day Unite and Falling into Infinity? I accidentally deleted the files on my computer and cant find the actual albums anywhere. I think I left them at my cousins house in Jersey.

HNLzero 03-26-2006 12:22 AM

At the moment my Cd drive's a bit screwed and it doesn't really rip anything. But if no one else does, I'll give it a try.

Lord Abortion 03-26-2006 12:08 PM

I need to get a new copy of FII...I have the box...

GenuineImitation 03-26-2006 12:14 PM

I dont want to appear like an annoying asswipe, but can some one please help me (see a few posts above). FII and When Dream and Day Unite are the only 2 DT cds that I barely listened to. I want to be more familiar with the songs on these cds for the April 1st show. This way I can inform you what songs are going to be on the DVD if they play anything from those 2 albums. Its a win-win situation.

Lord Abortion 03-26-2006 01:26 PM

Possibly Hollow years or take away my pain?

/Prays.

check the tour history on the site, they have every setlist from the octavarium tour on there

Download these tracks:

"A Fortune In Lies"
"Another Won"
"Raise the Knife"
"Peruvian Skies"

I think those are the only WD&DU and FII songs they've been playing on this tour.

ghettoeddo 03-26-2006 11:46 PM

they'll probably play songs that haven't appeared much on DVD's so far.

i doubt hollow years will be on there, as it was on budokan. the only other one i can tihink of mihgt be peruvian skies (on 5YIALT) and just let me breathe. also on 5YIALT i believe. so we'll see...

genuine, i'll send a few songs when i get time. i need to sleep tonight, i was at relay 4 life all night...

Erotomania 03-27-2006 12:18 AM

Would dream theater ever some to western canada?

National chaos sam 03-27-2006 04:26 AM

They opened for Iron Maiden last year and some guy at a T shirt stool noticed my DT images and Words T shirt, and said: "oh, that awful band who opened for maiden" I was outraged.

kurrpt 03-27-2006 09:09 AM

im seeing DT with my pops in Philly tomorrow :thumb:

He was probably retarded, let it slip.

Lord Abortion 03-27-2006 10:59 AM

Yeah, I would kill five people to see Maiden and DT together.

Cool, thats where I'm going. I can't wait...

Man, DT and Maiden together would be amazing. In the late nineties they did a tour with Deep Purple and ELP which also sounds pretty mind blowing.

Jev 03-27-2006 03:47 PM

Can you imagine DT Covering Number of the Beast and Iron Maiden covering Images and Words all at one gig?

wow.

GenuineImitation 03-27-2006 03:50 PM
Can you imagine DT Covering Number of the Beast and Iron Maiden covering Images and Words all at one gig?

That would be cool, but I would rather have the original bands do their own albums if they are both there.

Jev 03-27-2006 03:50 PM

Maybe. I'd like to hear Iron Maiden's take on I&W though.

Lord Abortion 03-27-2006 03:55 PM

That's the greatest idea ever.

Jev 03-27-2006 03:56 PM

My drummer's sister works for Steve Harris. Maybe I can put this idea forward...

Nope. Doubt I can make anything happen. But if it does, you can all kiss my feet.

Did you ever meet him?

Jev 03-27-2006 04:07 PM
Did you ever meet him?
Yeah twice. I went to see the Iron Maiden football team play. The only member of IM on the team is Steve. My drummer's dad was playing in goal for them both times. First time I met him I was like "uhhh, You're Steve Harris".
I got a free copy of No More Lies signed by him though

Lucky.

At first when you said football, I thought you meant American football.

Holy arse!

I knew that story though...
I bet you just stood there all slack-jawed.

GenuineImitation 03-27-2006 04:14 PM

I wouldn't even have the ability to say "uhhh, You're Steve Harris". I would have just been in shock, thus lacking the ability to speak.

Deth 03-27-2006 04:17 PM

I much as I worship Maiden, there's no way they would be able to play that album.

Also, I would much rather just see DT do it.

GenuineImitation 03-27-2006 04:23 PM

I concur. No one play Petucci's stuff (excluding Vai, Loomis, Satriani...).

Jev 03-27-2006 04:25 PM

I dunno, Maiden do have 3 guitarists. Each one could play a note in succession.

Lord Abortion 03-27-2006 04:25 PM

Yeah, it would be interesting though...

GenuineImitation 03-27-2006 04:27 PM

That would actually be funny and cool to watch.

NP: DT - Misunderstood

ghettoeddo 03-27-2006 08:24 PM

^ wouldn'tw ork. trust me. those notes go by so fast, yea...i doubt vai, satch, malmsten, petrucci, loomis, becker, batio anyone could play like that in succession. makes everything that much harder :]

genuine, still need the songs? just tell me what you want

ghettoeddo 03-27-2006 08:24 PM
Yeah, I would kill five people to see Maiden and DT together.

i'd kill 10

National chaos sam 03-28-2006 06:39 AM

My drummers girlfreind is related to steve harris! at family get togethers she catches the odd glimpse of him! lucky!
DT can cover maiden no mistake, but maiden arent diverse enough to do an album as complex as I&W.
