Jev 12-05-2005 11:30 AM

Yeah, It's my favourite Megadeth album. I love the Russian style solo before the tapping bit.

Jev 12-05-2005 11:32 AM

I love the intro to 502. One of the band members going "wooooooooooo" and then Dave saying "pull over shithead! This is the cops!"

Britton 12-05-2005 01:15 PM

Can someone upload that to a mailing list?

Jev 12-05-2005 01:17 PM
Can someone upload that to a mailing list?
Britton 12-05-2005 01:18 PM

Sweet.

What's been going on in this thread lately? I've been busy

Jev 12-05-2005 01:19 PM

Nothing much, just scroll up and you can see what's been happening over the past 4 days, not much.

clairvoyant 12-05-2005 01:19 PM

SFSGSW is a quite underrated album.

Probably Megadeth's most underrated.

Nice man, got any recordings?

All I can do is most of the rhythm and the 3rd solo (or 2nd electric solo whatever)

Jev 12-05-2005 01:26 PM

I've been attempting TNP* I can keep up with msot of it.

* By learning I mean looking at the tab, oh, every few days. DT has been occupying my time.

clairvoyant 12-05-2005 11:08 PM

Haha yea gotta love DT. They have some killer stuff.

.:Thrasher:. 12-06-2005 12:26 AM

ahhhhh it funny how Nick Menza quit from Megadeth.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-06-2005 01:28 AM
I never thought I'd see Megadeth and DT on the same tour bill so I don't think Iron Maiden is that unlikely.
DT aren't half as popular as Maiden. Maiden would be better served headlining their own tour, and getting a longer set.

Yeah I guess you're right.

Well the time has come for me to get a new guitar and I was giving serious thought to getting a DV202. Has anyone here tried it. It really does look like dave's DV8-R but I want to know if it plays anything like it.

You mean DV200? I've never heard of 202.
You mean DV200? I've never heard of 202.
That's probably what it is. As you can tell I'm just awesome at paying attention.:thumb:

I was serioulsy considering buying that, out of all the reviews I read it seems to be a good guitar.

slash20 12-08-2005 10:55 PM

Apocalyptic Raids 12-08-2005 10:57 PM

I have heard it was good. I guess go to guitar center (or your local guitar shop) and play it. That would be the best way to see if it sounds similar. Just remember that tone and amp settings are just as important in determining sound.

Jev 12-09-2005 10:33 AM

I love my Fender Squier Strat. Through my Zoom 505II pedal and Marshall amp it actually sounds like a decent guitar. No need for ESP and Jackson.

Britton 12-09-2005 04:34 PM

It's a great guitar dude. My buddy has one.

Have you ever recorded happy?

Jev 12-09-2005 04:36 PM

Nope, I can't record.

Britton 12-09-2005 04:38 PM

Ah that sucks

I'm gonna get to record Holy Wars! now that I have the solo and all down
my brother is gonna let me record

Jev 12-09-2005 04:40 PM

Awesome, can't wait to hear it. :)

naboo 12-10-2005 10:40 PM

Wow. I was driving in my car today with my dad and I put on Megadeth. After listening to Rust In Peace and Take No Prisoners he said to me "Who's this?" "Megadeth" "I don't like them; it's really simple." I thought that was madness. Rust In Peace is one of the more technical thrash albums I always thought.

ThrashMaster27 12-10-2005 10:45 PM

Parents make a lot of stupid comments concerning music. Regardless of what I'm listening to everytime my mum enters in from work she'll say "Turn that crap off".

Rust In Peace is quite technical, not Watchtower technical, but still pretty tricky to master.

naboo 12-10-2005 10:48 PM

Yeah, I was thinking that, but my dad listens to Death - Symbolic and Cynic - Focus, so I didn't really get it. Ehh oh well.

vashts80 12-11-2005 12:14 AM
Yeah, I was thinking that, but my dad listens to Death - Symbolic and Cynic - Focus, so I didn't really get it. Ehh oh well.
That explains it, heh. Symbolic and Focus are somewhat more technical than RIP but not by much :O

Chu 12-11-2005 12:16 AM

My parents still believe Hendrix is the greatest guitarist ever... :upset:
