Square was failing, and they produced it as a last-ditch effort --the 'final' fantasy.

XII's battle system is stupid looking. Even though I loved Ivalice and all of that in Tactics Advance, it's still not enough to make me want to play it. I like the traditional turn-based system.
I've never played a Final Fantasy game.

Also pop quiz: Where did the name "final fantasy" come from?
wasn't very final, being 10+ of them now...

Little Android Man 02-17-2008 09:47 PM

hola

Janeway 02-17-2008 09:50 PM

Thirteen, plus three tactics games, two FF7 spin offs, a sequel to 10, several origins (I & II) remakes for various systems, plus a few other random games to which "Final Fantasy" was tacked on...

I need to cut my fingernails.

Being the third wheel isn't that great, let me tell you.

Did get an awesome CD out of it though.

Janeway 02-17-2008 09:56 PM

When I was a kid, before this negoid culture became so rampant, there was a really short, ripped black guy who drove a truck like that, except it didn't have hydraulics, it was just low as hell. He never went anywhere, he just drove around aimlessly very slowly, blasting N.W.A. like the bad mothafucka he was.

Until he'd hit an uneven spot in the road and scrape the crap out of the underbelly.

Panopticon 02-17-2008 09:57 PM

thats fcking stupid...k have fun going over speed bumps.

WyrmDL 02-17-2008 10:05 PM

reminds me of this vid i saw, with a speed bump in the middle of nowhere.

cars would be going like 50, and there was no marking for it, so they would almost flip. then a lamborghini went like 100 over it, and smashed the front of his car.

Panopticon 02-17-2008 10:13 PM

pwnt

Sunshine 02-17-2008 10:29 PM

You just reminded me that I had a weird dream about a "super nice car." It doesn't exist in real life, and I thought it was kind of ugly.

The boy and I almost broke up this weekend, like 3 times.
It was an awful experience for the both of us.
I want to go to New York with him, live with him in a shitty apartment, and he can be a pilot and I can be a bartender, and we can buy super super cheap furniture used and my mom can teach me how to fix things up real nice, and he'll bring his guitars and I'll bring my drums/bass [after I buy the bass] and we'll fill our shitty apartment with awesome music.
God.
I can't wait to graduate college, and I'm only in my 2nd semester.

hate to break it to you, but this is an ideal that many people have but rarely does it ever work out.

Sunshine 02-17-2008 10:38 PM

Think I care much?

Nahie 02-17-2008 10:38 PM

me and my boyfriend got matching cars today.

Panopticon 02-17-2008 10:40 PM

sunshine, if you two are on rocky grounds like you say you are, why would you even consider living with him? I would wait till everything is stable, whether its with him or with someone else, before you move in with someone.

That's just me though. I guess i just don't understand.

We're really only shaky when we're apart for long periods of time and all that. Things get better when we're together.
Yes.
Well, I also dream of being a fashion designer, maybe a small-time actress, and perhaps in a band someday, all of which are "ideals that many people have but rarely work out."

So you're wrong.

Seafroggys 02-17-2008 10:50 PM

Haha I didn't mean it like that. In fact, disregard what I said. Sorry :(

Sunshine 02-17-2008 10:52 PM

Aww, and here I was all ready to be all, "Pssh, Froggys, if everyone just gave up on difficult ideals, nobody would ever get what they want."

^-^

Win A Rabbit 02-17-2008 11:00 PM

so my first time with the new band on bass went well i think.

was nice to be in a band that wasn't like "oh hi this is the intro make your part go"

they played a couple of their songs, we jammed for a bit, and then they played the songs again and i improv'd my parts. then we jammed on a new song, and then played the old songs again.

was fun. going over tomorrow again.

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-17-2008 11:11 PM

Sounds good man. Always a nice feeling when it goes well lol.
