GUYS, OPETH'S MY FAVORITE THRASH BAND, I LOVE THEIR SONG CIRCLE OF TYRANTS.
and for the record, it's circle of the tyrants.
ill take obituary's celtic frost over opeth's any day. i dont like mikaels singing on that one, tardy does it much more aggressively.
S/T destroys though. Such ****ing sick vocals.
Benton's are the only vox ive heard that are layered that actually sound cool, Nergal's= ****ing gay. |
Legion is awesome. Great album.
Benton's are the only vox ive heard that are layered that actually sound cool, Nergal's= ****ing gay.
benton's vocals sound like poop imo, i'm gonna just take short clips of things i listen to, as examples of epic voculars methinks. |
tbh your vocals suck
jk I've never listened to them no, but really |
You should give us a link to your bands myspace. And don't worry about Masscows, he probably didn't even listen to you. ;)

oic your vocals do suck. I'm sorry for joking about it.
|
My voice was really strained when that was recorded. :(
http://www.myspace.com/karlmarxband That's how I normally sound. And here's good layered screaming, most specifically this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=TFx85CfMvWI And here's samples [good layering]: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/7/9/1252962/suspended_by_the_throat_sample.mp3 http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/7/9/1252962/abyssal_creation_sample.mp3 http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/7/9/1252962/pray_for_plagues_sample.mp3 |
What's with all this non-death metal "core" stuff in this thread?
|
Where?
|
Everywhere.
I've been listening to Immolation, it's OK. Groovy, I suppose. |
Everywhere.
Where?
The first post on the this page. Immolation's first album is okay. |
Close to a World Below is awesome. Shadows in the Light is pretty cool, too. Harnessing Ruin is about 50% good riffs, 50% boring.
Haven't heard their first one yet. |
which album?
Close to a world below. I'veb een listening to Cannibal Corpse's album Kill and I think it's good, but I prefer the style they carried in Gallery of Suicide. |
The first post on the this page.
Immolation's first album is okay.
Once more, new death metal =/= core, gtfo nub. Also, if you would read the page, its about layered vocals. |

this seems very uncharacteristic for you |
Gallery of Suicide is terrible, even by Cannibal Corpse standards.
|
this seems very uncharacteristic for you
Explain, please.
Gallery of Suicide is terrible, even by Cannibal Corpse standards.
I don't know, I like the slower style to it. |
Gallery of Suicide is terrible, even by Cannibal Corpse standards.
the only albums anyone needs from cannibal corpse are tomb of the mutilated and kill. If you REALLY feel the need to get anything else, their first 2 would be good picks I guess. I haven't heard Gallery of Suicide, and I really don't care to, because once you've heard one album from them after they got Corpsegrinder, you've heard them all.
Explain, please.
you just came off to me as the sort of listener that would abhor cannibal corpse, don't know why. |
Gallery of Suicide is terrible, even by Cannibal Corpse standards.
"Cannibal Corpse standards?" Cannibal Corpse owns. This thread has seriously gotten ridiculous, Deicide worship, calling anything past 2003 "core" and calling Cannibal Corpse bad. Ugh. |

So good.
|
lol, I remember that video.

Cannibal Corpse owns. This thread has seriously gotten ridiculous, Deicide worship, calling anything past 2003 "core" and calling Cannibal Corpse bad. Ugh.
who was talking about core and deicide owns |
you just came off to me as the sort of listener that would abhor cannibal corpse, don't know why.
I don't really like them in a sense that I didn't ever really listen to them thoroughly, but I've been listening to them lately and I enjoy Gallery of Suicide. Although Kill is more bada&8234;ss. |
KILL is a very good album, yes.
|
Kill is weak.
Butchered at Birth was their best
Once more, new death metal =/= core, gtfo nub. Also, if you would read the page, its about layered vocals.
Stupid pig squeals =/= DM |
squeals can be cool if used infrequently and ungayily.
And alot of so-called new death has core in it, although i don't really consider most of the bands you're talking about to be death metal. |
