none whatsoever. to my knowledge.

i'm guessing it will be Powerslave - Seventh Son. What do ya'll reckon?
Definitely.

I reckon they will do NPFD 'til VXI after that, and then the last will probably be from BNW and DoD and maybe include their new album if it's done before they release that part...

Thats a decent song, not great IMO. I personally love Revelations, Flight of Icarus, Die With Your Boots On, The Trooper, and Still Life off PoM. Other than that its nothing too special. Weaker album than Powerslave and NOTB.

supreme maidenite 01-20-2005 02:45 PM

i was listening to powerslave and it just reminds you how epic Rime of the ancient mariner is. i like every song on it especially aces high n powerslave

Number Of The Beast, is a bit overated for my liking, sure it has some amazing hits on it, but to be honest I prefer DoD and Piece Of My Mind.
Plus Iron Maiden, which ATM is my favourite maiden album.

The Fonz 01-20-2005 02:49 PM

i was listening to some metallica and i noticed alot of similaritie between metallica and maiden..... does any body else

specifically fade toblack and powerslave... if u listen to all of both songs.

Firecracker 01-20-2005 02:50 PM

Apart from the fact that i detest Metallica and lurve Iron Maiden, they are much similar. :/ Actually i like a few Metallica songs. Not many though.

And 'The Number Of The Beast' is my favourite album of all time.
Closely followed by 'Powerslave'

Dance Of Death is an incredibly underated album.
And yeah, I agree, Metalica are so overated.

/If So me gets

supreme maidenite 01-20-2005 03:03 PM

what about 7th son - the seventh son of a seventh son song is pretty amazing and so is the clairvoyant

And there are so many people in my school that are like: 'you like heavy music, you like metallica?'
Cunts!
And Dance Of Death is bloody amazing, i think it's underated because it's gone more melodic and less heavy in places, but other than that i don't see people's problems with it. "Montsegur" is superb.

That album is ace aswell.
'Only The Good Die Young' is among my Top 10 Maiden songs.

Josh 01-20-2005 03:13 PM

the thing is i like metallica as well as maiden. and i dont care what people think about my music taste.

ForiegnPenguin 01-20-2005 04:11 PM

Yeah, I like Metallica too. But I like Maiden far more.

Yeah it is. And come on... Paschendale... please.

I always think of Maiden albums in eras like...
s/t and Killers: Dianno era
NOTB, POM, and Powerslave: straight NWOBHM era
SIT and SSOASS: progressive-ish era
all the 90s albums: shat era
BNW and DOD: new era type thing

So I pick favorites from the different times. I just do that because I can't pick one favorite.

ForiegnPenguin 01-20-2005 07:36 PM

I like the 90s era, but your probably right about it being their worst.

Riva 01-20-2005 07:40 PM

What do you think is their worst?

ForiegnPenguin 01-20-2005 07:47 PM

The whole Nineties era. By no means am I saying its bad but it just doesn't compare to the previous and preceding Iron Maiden.

Riva 01-20-2005 07:51 PM

I see. Yes, I think that '80s Maiden produced some excellent albums (Powerslave, SSOASS, NOTB) however, Brave New World, for me at least, is better than some of the '80s releases.

Dannyboy15 01-20-2005 07:53 PM

BNW is an excellent album, so is DoD.

To each his own I guess.

Dannyboy15 01-20-2005 08:59 PM

I can't stand Blaze's Voice. Bruce does Blaze songs better than Blaze ever could.

IMO Brave New World > Piece of Mind. Otherwise, 80s Maiden > all.
