One was comparing "Bright Star" by John Keats, "Choose The Star" by Robert Frost and the use of stars to reinforce the theme of "Life goes on" in the play "Our Town."

The other one was "Is the American Dream real or a contradiction?" Use three characters studied about this year that embodied your point of view. I did Esperanza Cordero from The House On Mango Street, Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird and Lucinda Matlock from Spoon River Anthology.

My two history essays were "How was Progressevism an extension of Populism" and "How was The New Deal an extension of Progressivism?"

I just discovered, to my annoyance, that they aren't actually broadcasting Battle of the Bands live on student radio like they have done for the last few years. Instead you have to download it after. Which sucks, as I was looking forward to doing a shout to all the guys on here who'd tuned in.


Ah well, less than 24 hours to go. How nerve-wracking.

Hey James. Nothing's really up. Today was my last day of semester 1 and I have an exam on Monday and another one on Wednesday. The exams only take up half the school day, so I should be home by 11:30 on those days. :D

I wouldn't say purely excited is the best way to describe how I feel... More like equal parts excited and nervous, with my views going from optimistic to pessimistic and back again far too quickly.

So tonight I have a symphony concert, which means I get to dress up in a tux. Yay! Also afterwards my friend and I are going to walk around campus in our tuxes and smoke cigars, because that is classy.

I think weed smells the worst by far. Cigarettes are a close second. But cigars smell really good, and you don't inhale it so I'm guessing you don't get lung cancer from them, so I may smoke them occasionally when I'm 30 or something.

I will probably smoke weed or a cigarette once in my life to see what they taste like, but I will more than likely never smoke them more than once.
