but the question is...am I motivated?

I don't have the intrinsic or extrinsic motivation.

in my experience a lot of grad students are really just procrastinating entering the jobmarket

and then what after that

you'd have a masters degree in something probably fucktarded from a mediocre school and I assume there will still be no accolades or achievement

no matter what happens in my life I'll be content

yeah stevie, seems to be the case with a lot of my friends with 'soft science' majors (sociology, psychology whatever) who have no job prospects

I'd like to go to grad school money permitting and if I can get into a school with the program I want but more because it's a better path into the career I want than going in with a general civil engineering degree

Some fields pretty much [I]require[/I] you to get your masters if you have any hope of being marketable. That is the deal with a lot of people going into the education field.

A lot of psychology stuff is BS but for people going into general practitioner they have to go into grad school too in order to be licensed.

I wouldn't say I "dropped out", that sort of sounds like I couldn't do the work. I was doing just fine, but the program just became really really bad and I became heavily disenchanted with it and the people involved with it. I'm in something now I'll be done with in a year and I'm happy.

I went through some pretty depressing states over that stuff

had like 12 hrs sleep had this weird dream where I was camping out with this bunch of stranded aliens performing tasks in their ship hidden in the woods whilst national interest grew in them and everyone was trying to get in but couldn't. somehow I ended up on the outside of the ship and being chased by the shady men in black and I was scaling this apartment block by running inside of rooms and leaping out of windows on to higher stories, ultimately I got on the roof, jumped off and wound up in a cabin just outside of the woods and almost made my way back to the alien ship then I woke up
