they show those ep's because they appeal to the older audience

tv stations have to appease the critical simpsons vets and keep us tuned into their network

if they didn't show 90's eps I would never watch FOX.

On my LA station, they usually show a 90's ep at 6:30 and a 2000's one at 7:30
