It's retarded guys, seriously.
Well, I used to post in pop-punk a fair bit, and I still lurk there and know what's going down.

Angry Balled Fists! 01-11-2006 10:58 AM

So ?

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:00 AM
So ?
I'm entitled to vote.
It's retarded guys, seriously.
You're losing. Don't get upset.

Angry Balled Fists! 01-11-2006 11:01 AM

I know your entitled to vote.

I don't care if im losing fairly, like against people who got voted by more than one or so members of the community, but when the whole punk forum votes for the punk member then it's stupid.

If it was someone else on the receving end then i'd act the same.

coheneran 01-11-2006 11:02 AM

HOLY ****TTT:

"And of all the things we'd ask,
of all the ways we'd like for it to be,
they're just drunken conversations,
song lyrics sung at the top of our lungs so desperately.
I believe in a power that is of and by the people.
I believe in an art that cannot be compromised.
I believe that I will endure, and I will overcome.
And I will sing it until I no longer remember the reason."

"Oh good God, holy ****, joke's on us, not on them."

I believe the song Holy **** is the main pointer to why AM! sold out.

RIP Ian Curtis 01-11-2006 11:03 AM

They never really pushed my buttons, sold out or otherwise.

sketchyjoe 01-11-2006 11:03 AM

That entirity of SFAFC is basically "We don't care what you think of us. This is what we think about what you think of us."

Yeah, it is a little stupid, but there's not much you can do about it.

Personally I don't like it when members of the punk forum who don't like hardcore just randomly show up in the Hardcore forum and make the spam problem even worse.

But hey, there's not much you can do to stop it.

coheneran 01-11-2006 11:06 AM
That entirity of SFAFC is basically "We don't care what you think of us. This is what we think about what you think of us."
To me it seems more like an admission of defeat.

"You can have it all, I ain't got the heart to fight, no.
Total exhaustion, complete breakdown.
For the asshole I am,
apologies in full, please leave me alone."

They are angry and pissed off at themselves. I admire them for being able to put an album like this out, but if this isn't the last, well, that would be terrible.

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:07 AM

Or maybe you could get Spence to delete the votes of anyone who never comes into the Pop-punk forum.

<_<

Angry Balled Fists! 01-11-2006 11:07 AM

Your right there isn't, it's immature.

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:08 AM

Actually I don't think my idea's too bad. I mean, anyone who doesn't come into the Pop-Punk forum shouldn't really have a say as to how the forum is run.

Linkinbassist 01-11-2006 11:10 AM

where did this come from?

sketchyjoe 01-11-2006 11:10 AM

Joe's laughing now, but if he gets AIDS...I mean, it's a really serious problem.

I'm the admilol of the navy and the genelol of the army.

RIP Ian Curtis 01-11-2006 11:21 AM

He can stay the hell away from me. God-damned queers.

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:23 AM

Haha, admilol.

Seriosuly now, one of my auntie's friend has HIV. Bad business.

RIP Ian Curtis 01-11-2006 11:24 AM

Yeah my adopted uncle has HIV. He's got an awesome half-finished rockabilly tattoo on his back that will never be completed because no artist will touch him.

Angry Balled Fists! 01-11-2006 11:24 AM

How can you determine whos vote should and who's shouldn't count, it doesn't work.

sketchyjoe 01-11-2006 11:25 AM
How can you determine whos vote should and who's shouldn't count, it doesn't work.
Still bitching? There's only one possible response to that:

lol

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:26 AM
How can you determine whos vote should and who's shouldn't count, it doesn't work.
Well, the people who never post in pop-punk should have their vote deemed invalid.

RIP Ian Curtis 01-11-2006 11:27 AM

And why did you tell me to get the hell out of the pop-punk forum? I can go there if i want, it's not like i was voting in your poll or anything, I'm just seeing the sights, having a butchers.

sketchyjoe 01-11-2006 11:27 AM
Well, the people who never post in pop-punk should have their vote deemed invalid.
But they might lurk there all the time and know more about the forum than the regular posters.

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:29 AM
But they might lurk there all the time and know more about the forum than the regular posters.
You're right.

Well, it's the pop-punk forum's dilemma, it doesn't bother me.

Dan, talk it out with Spence, maybe you'll figure it out.

RIP Ian Curtis 01-11-2006 11:30 AM

And one would hate to throw out the baby with the bathwater. As babies are a wonderful, natural source of vitamins and iron.

Angry Balled Fists! 01-11-2006 11:30 AM

Stop being such a bitch Joe.

Yeah, ok so all the punks think Albert deserves to win it, k.

I will, i'll get over it either way.

sketchyjoe 01-11-2006 11:31 AM

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:39 AM

I told one of my friends tonight The Casualties were probably the greatest punk band ever. Now he keeps going on about how "sick" they are.

sketchyjoe 01-11-2006 11:43 AM

roflmao

TakeWarning 01-11-2006 11:52 AM

Well, I'm going to bed.

Keep it real homies.
I don't think I could pick a favourite album, maybe band though.
I don't think so either. If people ask me, I usually give an answer like "all of DK's albums"
Easy. Favourtie non-punk album: Dark Side Of The Moon. Nothing else comes within hyperdrive capabilities of it.
Never listen to Dark Side of the Moon right before bed, ****s with your dreams.

Favourite non-punk album (if I was forced to choose: Johnny Cash - With His Hot and Blue Guitar or American IV: The Man Comes Around or Phil Ochs - There But For Fortune
I think the fact that I listen to so many different bands and like them for different reasons makes it hard to choose an overall favourite album. I would say that F.F.F.R.V. would be the most appreciated album in punk and one of the most influential. It's simply a masterpiece.
FFFRV was voted top album by us, that's saying something.
I had to spend £60 on books today for my History course. I'm now the proud owner of:
Machiavelli - The Prince
Marx and Engels - The Communist Manifesto
The Autobiography of Giambattista Vico
Nietzsche - On the Genealogy of Morality
Max Weber - The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism
Quentin Skinner - Vision of Politics Vol. 1
I've only read the Manifesto out of all of those. I want to read Weber though, since we discussed him in my Soc class. I've seen that book though, it's huge.

My history class is making me buy Howard Zinn - A People's History of the US along with our text book. And my math book may cost $90
We need a particular edition that has notations and a particular introduction. I already have it on my computer.
Hope you don't have the edition I have. The Introduction is longer than the actual Manifesto.
Whoever invented pressurised deodorant cans should be given an award for services to mankind. And explosions.
I keep quoting you....

I'ver never blown up a deodorant can, but I've used the stuff to light nice alcohol fires to piss off science teachers.

Best song on SFAFC. I don't give a **** about selling out anymore. Music is still enjoyable.
