I'd be interested in The Who Sings My Generation.

Oh, awesome. Could I get At Folsom Prison and Wheels Of Fire? If anyone has any Allman Brothers, like Eat A Peach or Brothers And Sisters, or Greatest Hits, that would be nice too. I could send out Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road, Piper At The Gates of Dawn, Meddle-The Wall, or any Led Zeppelin album for anyone who wants them.

You don't have it? It's an essential for Who fans, although I'm assuming you've heard most of the songs before anyway. Still a must have though.

BigTrav415 12-31-2005 05:45 PM

I forgot I just got The Closing of Winterland, New Year's Eve 1978 by The Grateful Dead. It's a four-CD, 4 1/2 hour beast, and in short terms kicks arse. I'll send everyone the first song off it, and if you decide you want it, reply and I'll send the rest. It was the last performance in the crumbling old ice rink in San Francisco bought by 70's rock afficionado/concert planner Bill Graham to host bands he couldn't get into his other hall, and it was really shoddy, but some awesome acts were performed there, including the Stones, the Doors, and of course, the Grateful Dead. No one really liked the place at all, except maybe the Dead, but when Graham announced he had to tear it down because repair costs were too high, he scheduled his favorite band to play there for one last monster show. The show included highlights such as Graham rocketing in to the hall at the beginning of the show on a 10, no, 12, 12 foot-long joint, and the Dead's first performance of Dark Star in San Francisco in 5 years. Overall, an awesome Dead show.

I love that show, I have the CD and DVD. My highlights are Scarlet Begonias>Fire on the Mountain, Me and My Uncle>Big River, Samson and Delilah, Dark Star>The Other One>Dark Star, and St. Stephen.

Krabsworth 12-31-2005 05:57 PM

Okay everyone, I'll get those albums out asap.

Glitterati 12-31-2005 06:01 PM

I got Blue Train from my sister for Christmas, so I don't need it. Boy is that album sweet.

On an unrelated note, I rented Pulp Fiction for the first time tonight. I'm very excited about seeing it.

np: Brian Eno -1/1

Krabsworth 12-31-2005 06:07 PM

I'm really not a big fan of Sing My Generation, the only album which I like less is Sell Out. Just not a fan.

I've got the Saprano's Complete 5th to watch tonight since I'm grounded/no car/no mom to drive me. So I've got quiet the night ahead of me 12 hours of the Sapranos. And I got Dazed and Confused.

Glitterati 12-31-2005 07:20 PM

Dazed and Confused is pretty sweet.

Such a great album. Fantasia Suite and Guardian Angel are beyond words to describe.

inxs
pink floyd
led zeppelin
cream
hendrix
deep purple
the beatles

most of my school is populated with hip hop lovers i just don't understand what the hell they see with that kind of music the lyrics are just repeated over and over again and either have no meaning or about some girl and people like snoop dog make up words out of no where
yeahh hopefully rock will make a huge come back and over throw these losers

welcome to the forum 2:rolleyes::rolleyes:6er

What's wrong with INXS?

TheDMV 01-01-2006 12:19 AM
What's wrong with INXS?
THey just don't seem to fit in with that list, but I've never really listened to them except for that new single which I don't like too much. The fact that they created a reality show to find a singer absolutley skeeves me.

Krabsworth 01-01-2006 12:22 AM

We should make January ,"put a hip hop icon in your avatar," month fo the classic rock people.
