oh yeah i remember that
o gawd

i just never understood the mentality that your annual income somehow reflects your "worth"
it doesn't

the respect that i was talking about comes from being a doctor

ever wonder why it's the only profession which gets its own pre-nomination

what again 06-30-2006 01:25 PM
yeah but i'll be working extremely flexible (and low) hours with very little stress

the best dermatologists in my city make $5-8 mill a year

and it's a lot more prestigious and respected than posing nude while pregnant :-\

i was basically born and raised for this *shrug*
so you have no doubts?

Nihongo 06-30-2006 01:26 PM

I'm pretty dead set on engineering though, don't think I'll be Amit's slave in this life.

7-Up 06-30-2006 01:26 PM

hmm i was just watching TBFs avatar and theres a half bald whitey thats trying to dance or something...

white kids cant dance.

Amit 06-30-2006 01:26 PM
so you have no doubts?
none

overturned 06-30-2006 01:28 PM
doesn't really matter when i can pay you to be my slave :-D

and considering i'll still be composing and playing on the side, it's win-win for me
Its fun to conform to stereotypes.

You're of the eastern "doctor" ideal.
I'm of the middle England plumber ideal.
Jamie is of the gas pump attendant who can't count past 42 ideal.

Its win bloody win.

what again 06-30-2006 01:28 PM

hm cool

Amit 06-30-2006 01:29 PM

plumbing does seem to be a big thing in england

i always hear and read about it in top gear/jeremy clarkson's articles

im not even going to begin to say what i really think of doctors

Me! 06-30-2006 01:31 PM

Good day sirs.

Plumbers make decent money being skilled workers and all n stuff. I know of someone who does the plumbing for restaurants and big buildings and he makes a good bit.

Amit 06-30-2006 01:31 PM

what

if you understood what they had to go through i don't think you'd say anything at all

7-Up 06-30-2006 01:32 PM

Lawl, they hold nuts while people cough, what a living eh?

Nihongo 06-30-2006 01:32 PM

I think doctors shouldn't charge such outrageous rates for things required to live.

It's gay.

But plastic surgery on the other hand should be sky high.

Me! 06-30-2006 01:32 PM

You moron haven't you ever watched House?

Ignorant people uggh :-P

nearly all doctors don't see almost any of the money they charge
what

im not talking about them, as a person. Im talking them, as in their profession you see. I can still admire the hard work, yet not really take their opinion any higher than i would anyone else's

Me! 06-30-2006 01:35 PM

It costs a lot to run your own clinic I'm sure.

And if you work in a hospital a lot goes to maintaining that.
im not talking about them, as a person. Im talking them, as in their profession you see. I can still admire the hard work, yet not really take their opinion any higher than i would anyone else's
Yeah, especially when they haven't studied these things for a good part of their lives.

<_<
>_>

what

so you'd take jamie's opinion on the abnormal growth on your left testicle over that of an oncologist

kurrpt'd 06-30-2006 01:35 PM

yea, its the health care system + insurance that really drives the price up. A ton of doctors left PA because of this fact

eggo : like i said, i didnt want to get into it. obviously they should know more on certain subjects than your normal off-the-street male/female

they are all pill pushers, thats a fact

same with new jersey a lot of my dad's friends moved to the south :-(

officer doofy 06-30-2006 01:37 PM

since there's nobody in the recording section of this site, i'm gonna post my question here:
Is this a good condenser/pre-amp combo?
I'm thinking of getting an AKG Perception 200 large-diaphragm condenser, and a ART tube MP project series pre-amp. Does anybody have any experience or knowlege of these that can offer a yay or a nay? What I'm spending on these is as high as want to go price-wise too, so no spendy recommendations, thanks.

The Black Fist 06-30-2006 01:40 PM

lame discussion ITT

new topic of discussion; how much butter do you guys put on popcorn
same with new jersey a lot of my dad's friends moved to the south :-(
i dont blame them at all.

I dont want to be misinterpretted. Obviously not all doctors can be categorized into one large group that is either column A, or column B. These are just stereotypes that have been created. Through my experiences here at work, and going in there, not all of them have the patient's best interest at heart

Nick 06-30-2006 01:42 PM

sup guys

/doesn't pay for healthcare

I like my popcorn soaked in butter, but no salt. I hate salt.

Not much, England isn't a popcorn hungry nation.

Its usually toffee'd and baged in Tescos. Unless you cinematise, but I'm afraid of vermin in my local cinema so, y'know.

psychiatrists are pill pushers

doctors are not, at least the ones i know and have worked with

kurrpt'd 06-30-2006 01:45 PM

im not a fan of popcorn. I cant stand the kernels getting stuck in my gums

edit : again, these are stereotypes from my personal experience

The Black Fist 06-30-2006 01:49 PM

yes cinema vermin is not good

Weren't you complaining about the same thing in the discussion about smoking yesterday?

tbh I usually don't add butter to my popcorn, whatever it starts off with is usually fine.

kurrpt'd 06-30-2006 01:52 PM
Weren't you complaining about the same thing in the discussion about smoking yesterday?
no, not at all. Its my opinion of them as a whole. That hardly constitutes 100% of the work force
