DJ Ducksauce 04-11-2006 07:57 PM
Minus the fact Thursday's music is better overall from PTWs.
No.
PTW is great but Thursday paints a soundscape that's just amazing, especially in the song Autobiography of a Nation, at least the imagines I get anyway...
No, Thursday wastes time overdubbing five different guitar parts in a foolish attempt to create a feigned air of "artsyness" in their music to appeal to a the long-black-hair-over-their-eyes-and-tight-black-shirts group of people. It is beyond me how Thrusday can have songs with lyrics like "Cross out the eyes!" and get no flak for it, yet Hawthorne Heights says "Black my eyes" and suddenly they're destroying the music scene.

What the **** is a soundscape?

That being said, War All The Time is a good album. PTW farts better music than that, though.

alright Gav I only found stuff by the december drive or whatever.

the rest were a no go.

I will teach them to like people they aren't related to.

Full Collapse >>>>>> War All the Time

A soundscape is when you use music to paint a picture or an imagine in the listener's head. For example, if I wanted you to picture you were at the beac, I wouldn't be playing dimished chords with JUG JUGs in between.

You have to set an example before you can do that though.

cbmartinez 04-11-2006 08:05 PM

Full Collapse and You Come Before You are my two favorite albums of all time. I think it would be too painful to choose between them.

As br00tal as that album is and as much as it rules, it's a travesty to say that it touches Full Collapse. You Come Before You gives it a run for it's money though.
