Hmm, anyone read the new announcement?
Interesting stuff. Don't know if I can handle change though.
Just read it now, it seems interesting. It's a shame that MXTabs is gone now, but it's not Jeremy's fault of course. I might get more involved with Sputnik again, I've not done any reviews in a few months.

King_Of_Terrors 12-26-2005 12:41 PM

I'm trying to get used to the new layout, I want to try something new than the previous one, it was grey and white.

I changed it back to that a few minutes ago, but I switched back to the Sputnik one, it's pretty cool.

Jev 12-26-2005 12:43 PM

I've never once been on Sputnik. I checked it out just now.
It's a shame that MX is goen forever :'(

King_Of_Terrors 12-26-2005 12:45 PM

I made 2 reviews on Sputnik, everyone hated them, I left. That's it for me.

I don't think I'll ever post there. Everytime I go to comment I just feel like a noob (well, I still am) again.

So I take it MX is gone, and Sputnik is the main site now? I like the color scheme that comes with it.

I feel pretty sad even though I stopped using MX ages ago.

Yea even though I don't look for tabs very often, I always went to MX first. But oh well, I don't mind too much.

King_Of_Terrors 12-26-2005 12:54 PM

I'm still trying to get used to the color scheme. It's pretty cool though.

I really liked the blue green one :(

It's still there, you can change it in your User CP.

Yeah I know, but after the switch to Sputnik it won't be available.

King_Of_Terrors 12-26-2005 01:00 PM
Yeah I know, but after the switch to Sputnik it won't be available.
How do you know?

Mr. M, Man of Muzak 12-26-2005 01:04 PM
Yeah I know, but after the switch to Sputnik it won't be available.
Mx didnt say anything about that. He only said that the sputnik skin is now the default

King_Of_Terrors 12-26-2005 01:05 PM

What's sad is that this thing has 170 views already, and it has been up for like what, 30 minutes? Riva's "Quit The Spam" only got like 150, in like 4 days.

Mr. M, Man of Muzak 12-26-2005 01:11 PM

Riva's was in R&M only, mx's is forum wide

Been there once a few years back, it's a lovely place.

No snow here :) I had a seventy degree Christmas!

Ad Absurdum 12-26-2005 02:09 PM

No snow here either. We never get snow though, we're too close to the see.
NP: Cacophony - Concerto
Awesome song. I've been trying to learn that for a while now, of course it's really difficult though so it'll still be a long time before I can play the whole thing.

Stormrider 12-26-2005 02:21 PM

Theres a lot of snow here.

Ihave a guitar question that I dont feel like asking in the guitar forum. I got an acoustic on Christmas, and aftr playing it, the tip of my fingers are black ?
Does this mean the strings need to be changed or is it normal with an acuostic ?

That'd odd. My brother's first guitar was an acoustic, and it never happened to him. Is it the fingers on the fretboard or the fingers that are plucking the strings (or picking)? If it's the fingers on the fretboad, some curation on the wood might be rubbing off on your fingers.

I doubt it's a real problem, though. Just some breaking-in pains.

Its the ones on my fretting hand. I could change the strings to see if thats the problem but I dont want to waste perfectly good strings if it isnt the problem.

Oh well, I dont think its a big problem either but, I just wanted to knwo what was cauing this.
