I wouldn't expect one as pathetic as yourself to be able to comprehend the unimaginable compositional and instrumental skills that go into an average CoB song.

Cryforhelp got banned for doing this in the Opeth forum also and making a music sucks thread. Its a good thing he is gone, he was really annoying.

Indeed. He went from being one of death metal's better vocalists to being one of the absolute worst. Mike DiSalvo was better than LW's new crap.

is the new album out in the UK now? i 'borrowed' it from COB, i wanna go and buy it, but HMV where I live have moved everything around, there's like one shelf for metal, the whole shop floor is 'rock and pop' :angry:

It had been delayed in the USA until Oct 23rd, I think.

Yeah, some past Bodom fans at my school were dissapointed by it because they wanted it to sound more like Hatebreeder. I enjoyed that sound more too, but the album was still well made.

It's a good album yes, but I find it to be a bit repetitive at times.

i like most of their songs, except the first one... "if you want peace...prepare for war" is awesome too.

I would assume that the delay is for all of North America, but everything I've read has just said US, so maybe Canada will get it sooner.

I listened to the 5 or 6 songs I had today cause everyone says its so great but I still can't really get into it. Half of it sounds completely new, the other half sounds like HCDR. Theres really no shreds left of pre-HCDR Bodom in there. I like a lot of the soloing, and some of the riffs aren't too bad. It's not really that I think it's a bad album, I think they could a gajillion times better and there are other bands who put out much better albums than this so it kind of doesn't go very far for me. For Bodom an OK album just isn't gonna cut it. I thought HCDR was as low as they should go for an album, anywhere past that and it really just isn't amazing enough to get much positive response from me.

I thought HCDR was great too. :( There it was obvious they were going this way, but there was still a lot of power metal left on it.

FINALLY, somebody else who agrees with me.

I now think that this is the best Bodom album by far.

I thought HCDR was good but it was like a 6 or 7 compared to the 9 or 9.5 HB and FTR were. It was a good quality album with some power metal influence. This album took none of that though, they are left with barely any, and basically took the whole new americanish riffing style and chopped out about 75% of the leads.

There's nothing American about AYDY really. The keyboards and lead style sound nothing like any American band I've ever heard.
