As inspired by our beloved queen of DIY, and thusly bastardized because she could have done a far better job:

Yay!

I wasn't actually planning on doing it, so I'm glad someone did it.

Anarcho Poser 03-04-2006 11:57 PM

With any luck, I'll be on an FBI terrorist watch list by friday.

Sounds like a fun game.

If you really want to get in trouble, order the CAR BOMB bumper sticker from negativland. http://www.negativland.com/nmol/negmisc.html

"CAR BOMB bumper sticker - This is the same 11.5"x 3" black-on-yellow sticker found inside the vinyl version of Escape From Noise (and we include it free when you order the CD reissue from Negativmailorderland). Great fun in places like Ireland and Tikrit. "

I would, but, in the event that I find myself in a similar situation to that of the young man with a bike, I wouldn't be able to replace my car.

I'm planning on starting to make my own designs on shirts. Any good stencil sites?

Yeah, I used that one for my Dead Kennedys shirt. It came out pretty good.

DaveToopes 03-11-2006 08:10 PM

Pics??

ViciousLove 03-11-2006 08:45 PM

None, if I get one I'll post it.

Well, here's some shirts I made recently

Kaizers Orchestra: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/Stencils/kaizersorchestra.jpg

That blob in the corner is just glue, it will go away. I'm not happy with this though, because I put it up way too high in the shirt. I'm thinking of redoing it, but it was a lot of paint, so I don't know.

Gogol Bordello: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/Stencils/gogolbordello.jpg

I'm happy with this one, although the logo is kind of small.

Brain Toad 03-12-2006 12:55 PM

I see that record all the time.

Shirt looks good.

those are both nice, Kaisers Orchestra is a great abnd too. I was going to make a patch like that once but was struck by laziness.
Although I did make this:

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a111/ratsinthecity/DIY%20Examples/101_0008.jpg

patch + jacket were made by me. The only thing I screwed up was the zipper, because when I zip it up people can see all the black on one side so there's a big stripe of black up the front, but it's not bad for a first effort and for how little I followed the directions.

I like them. Where'd you get the directions?

AndreTheHyena 03-13-2006 03:58 PM

I had a pretty succesful first attempt at homemade rice milk, if anyone's interested. I'm not going to type it all out, in case no one cares, but holla if you do care and I'll come back and tell you all 'bout it 'bout it.

I'm not a big fan of fleece. I think that's what it's made out of, right?

that patch is really impressive.

real_low_mind 03-13-2006 06:19 PM

i'm trying to bleach my jacket so i can eventually dye it purple. [i think it's cotton, it's just a hoodie I bought at wal mart] i put it in the washer twice with bleach and used another half a bottle in the bathtub but nothing worked. is there anything else i can do or should i just get a gray one that might be light enough to dye?

laura

DaveToopes 03-13-2006 06:24 PM

I dunno, don't dilute the bleach?

me likes punk 03-13-2006 06:27 PM

Don't they sell purple sweatshirts at walmart?

DaveToopes 03-13-2006 06:37 PM

OH. MY. GOD. I can't even believe you!!

real_low_mind 03-13-2006 06:46 PM

1. i didn't!
2. they don't. least not the kind i'm looking for.

DaveToopes 03-13-2006 07:00 PM

I was suggesting that you do that.
