Nobody knows yet.
|
Probably 2009.
|
^ round that yeah... Thats what I was thinking.
|
I may or may not get flamed for this, but does anyone else think that Stinkfist is similar to The Doors - Break On Through (To The Other Side)?
They both have a similar message I think: Push your mind through into another way of thinking. Opinons, flames, agreement? Do go on. |
Hey, what was that book called that had to do with a bunch of theorys and stuff that was called something like "Everything in this book is a lie, but its exatly the way things are"?
Is that the correct title, because te only thing I can find on amazon.com is a book like that, but it has something to do with the monument on mars or something. And a long time ago I looked up the book and it didn't have "mars" in the title at all. It was on the "tools recommended reading list" thing. Any help is apppreciated. |
Yeah, i think the list maybe wrong on tool's site. Bob frissell has two books that deal with sacred gemoetry 'something in this book is true' and the book you found, the one about ecosteric meanings of mars or something.
CHeck 'em out, then tell us if they are worth importing to england :p |
Where are people getting this "June" idea? I've heard that from people, too. But my radiostations have all been saying "at the end of the year."
|
I think it will be at the end of the year also.
They would of already said SOMETHING if it was coming out in June. And thanks for the book info. |
Any songs that sound good acoustic? I think H could be done...and stinkfist maybe. Has anyone seen any acoustic versions or anything. I would love to do some tool at the local coffee shop! That would be different. I'm thinking about getting some songs together for their open mic night.
|
I heard that Maynard wont even start doing Vocals until June so the album probably wont be out till around Christmas time.

H. and Pushit would come to mind if any Tool songs were acoustic, although I think they would be lacking something. Tell us how they sound if you give it a try. |

Hasn't he been doing them since APC came back off tour? Give or take a few weeks. |
Its hard to do most drop tuning songs acoustic IMO. And its Adam's tones and effects that seperate him from the rest of the field. Take those away, and he suddenly becomes very average
As for MJK doing vocals, I can only imagine, since he's with them for each session, that he is working in some way. Whether its putting down guitar parts, or just sitting around for inspiration, I dont know. Oh to be a fly on the wall. |
yea...I think they should give us a snippet of them in the studio whenever they do put out a dvd. I mean...come on and lift some of that shroud of mystery. At least after they "retire"...hopefully a long way from now...
|
There are a few stories around about the lateralus recordings. Most are boring, but the secret of their work board is still a nice enigma
|
I think Schism and Parabola could make great acoustic songs. Lateralus too, if it was changed around a bit.

Schism maybe, actually. Parabola.. Psh, those lead guitar parts NEED to be electric. :p |
Most tool songs would work acoustic. Since adam loves the D-Maj barré shapes, you could strum along to that and have a second guitarist play the little licks...such as the schism riff, 46 & 2 riff etc...
|
Tool have had their fair share of legal problems. Lets hope that has any effect at all, and fate takes pity on them.
My only thoughts over the album process being delayed is they really go nuts with this album and dont release until they've perfected it. |
/Plays The Patient.
I would like info too, but i still say if any tracks get leaked, ill not download them.I want the finished article. Hopefully Blair will decide to post an update on the site soon, instead of another blog entry. |
Hi Kat, No worries about the green cheerios. I found them at the ten yen shop. Sorry if I'm short, but I'm so tired that I don't know what is right, left or up or down. I'm ****ing tired. At an rate life today was the usual Camella Kicking our ***. A mad dash through the subways with just enough seconds to either have a lotus root pizza or purple waffle, salad sticks to take on the train with Kirin that I could have bought for a lot less from the machine. I want to tell you about a dream I had. Involved a girl of the kind I like. Guess what, and this is just between the two of us, next morning in kiddie land, the toy store, I saw an Icelandic Barbie Doll. Limited edition and more expensive than any other Barbies just like those... Anyway, Joe thought I was a fag for even thinking about paying 50,000 yen or whatever for this viking doll, but then again he's been giving me **** about using Camella's conditioner... Redkin extreem, which, by the way, is pure dream to me. Sorry to ramble, but just wanted to say thanks, and as I already said have the green cheerios, and lots of love... with good conditioner in my traveling hair. Thanks for watching the crazy place. Got you a Qoo. Love, B
wtf is this... |
Gimmie a B
Gimmie a l gimmie a o gimmie a g Entry. I guess that update only makes sense to 2 people. And one wrote it |
An example of what happens when you take drugs?
|
I give someone who is very good at finding subliminal messages the job of deciphering that for usefulness.
Once you fail at that, realise you shouldnt have bothered. And if that was due to drugs, he did a good job of still typing properly Ill see what my inbox has to say about that tommorrow. |
I think Blair must be constantly high or something, he makes very little sense most of the time.
I did not hear anything about Maynard not even starting vocals till June though... |
Awwwww. That's a downer. Oh well, better June than July I always say!
|
Sorry it's late, but a response to the acoustic question: Somewhere on MX, there is an acoustic version of Schism Sliver did. He posted it in the put a while ago, and it's pretty good (although he can't pull off Maynard's vocals well).
|
right now i really don't care when the albums out but i only hope they come to new mexico. Many bands like it here, probably the surroundings, if they do First in line to buy tickets. But, i really wish that you should stop worrying and wait until it arrives. Be patient and rewards will come for your precious time.

Has anyone got any good recorded interviews with the Tool members, I found a couple on my college network the other day, but they were generally dissappointing. I guess thats all you can expect when it some twat of a radio host who only cares about tour dates and *** kissing. Maynard especially seemed uninterested during his recording.
Anyway, if anyones got any good stuff, would they mind uploading it on YSI. |
There was a webcast up on the Tool site a couple months back....actually back in June '04 so it's been quite a while but anyway, Blair is pretty much just asking the band questions that were sent in my the members of The Collective Unconscious. It's actually quite interesting and funny. All the members are there with the exception of Maynard. According to the band, "he's in the bathroom". Anyway, not sure if many of you have heard this or not but in case you haven't and are interested, here is the link:
