I want a new bass but I don't forsee that happening until this summer. I have a bunch of concerts I'm going to, including one in New York, so will have to work on paying a bunch of that off first!

Not to mention the fact that we just bought a house... and some new furniture... and carpet, and... and... and... ;)

Hey all

Spaceman Spiff 02-11-2005 02:15 PM

So, I went to my school's talent show... and boy did it suck.
There were only about 2 or 3 good thing durings the whole 1 hour and 20 minute show.
1. A guy in my drama class did a hilarious monologue.
2. This guy and girl played this slow song, but they had 5 or 6 people on the stage doing the most random dancing, obviously just to amuse the crowd, which worked.
3. A music teacher had 5 students on the stage to perform a song, or so everyone thought, so this one girl is playing violin, and playing quite well, then she brings in the rest of the band, people playing trumpet, trombone, french horn, and tuba, and they all start playing the most disgusting excuse for music, just "screwing up" what they were to be playing. And it was funny.

gaslight 02-11-2005 02:16 PM

*Bangs head on desk.*

I've written the outlines of 3 songs tonight, why can't I have my laptop to record them and send them to my band .

*Goes insane.*

neal_672 02-11-2005 02:18 PM

I hate school talent shows, there is never anything good at them...

Spaceman Spiff 02-11-2005 02:21 PM

It did get me out of my last period though, so it was worth it.
It did get me out of my last period though, so it was worth it.
Well yeah that's ok. Ours are always at lunchtime, so unless i'm playing with my band (only did it once before realising a grunge/rock n roll band wasn't the music for this type of thing) i don't bother wasting my lunch to go to it...

gaslight 02-11-2005 02:25 PM

Ahh, I remember high school.

Sitting there, wasting my lunch hour.

Now I waste every hour.

:)

neal_672 02-11-2005 02:28 PM

Sounds like fun Gaslight. I get a few free periods now i'm in college, but not enough

peeted 02-11-2005 02:29 PM

i like secondery school (british version of high school), fish n chips every lunch time, layed back art lessons were we just drop objects in plaster of paris to see what noise it makes, sociology, girls and many more plesent things. school does have its gay ****y side tho

neal_672 02-11-2005 02:38 PM

College > Secondary school :thumb: You'll see that when you start college :thumb:

peeted 02-11-2005 02:53 PM

Hey all. Whats going on?

gaslight 02-11-2005 03:02 PM

Just watching some Seinfeld on DVD and waiting to get tired then I'll go sleep.

You guys?

PaulR 02-11-2005 03:04 PM

You can read about what I did today in my thread.

A brilliant moment. I can't wait to play in front of people again. Its a great feeling, I was on a high for like the next two hours. Then I realised I was going to have to do some work...

neal_672 02-11-2005 03:05 PM

Sat having a beer, playing bass, listening to pink floyd and trying to sort out a possible MX meeting between me, Jamie and Tim_commerfordism :thumb:

The most emo of emo bands performed at the talent show at school today.
The lyrics were all about how the he's sad, and how he's going to cry, and how much he cried... and I was just trying not to laugh.

Why did you try not to laugh... why not just laugh at him?

neal_672 02-11-2005 03:09 PM

I have to gte going guys. Ciao

Spaceman Spiff 02-11-2005 03:09 PM

Because teachers were close by.

However, one time I was at a concert with a friend of mine, and a terrible emo band was opening, and we did laugh at them while they were playing, we laughed loud and long. They definately heard us laughing.
