Hello there!

No not everything is OK :upset:
I expected that my strings would be in yesterday or today. Since I have a gig tomorrow and my old strings were DEAD and almost broken.. SO I called the guy and he said: no no sorry, you have to wait for your flatwounds 'till next week.. the order is going a bit slow.

So now I had to spend extra cash on bass strings so I can gig with them.. BLEGH bass = expensive :lol:

I love it when guitarists bitch about the price of there strings.. :lol:

bass strings are soo expensive it really annoys me

im at school, im supposed to be doing research, but i dont care, we have a sub....

I'm just writing some songs on guitar for my band, I'm still partially deafened from the Isis concert.

isis...never heard of them.

and isn't it boring writing songs when you're on the forums ? i meanisn't it like a creative block ? talking to strangers i mean.

Oh I play for a while then I get up and come over to check out the computer for a while, I'm pretty much done for now so I got up and came over to the internet for a while.

Isis are incredible man, they're a metal band who do really long songs with changing time signatures and all that. Their bassist was excellent, not a show off, just a very solid player.

He had a sweet bass too, a Musicman Stingray.

oh i so much wish i could play a sting ray once, forget own one...i can probably afford a replica which Wintermute informed me are made only in the UK and will cost me around 15 grand, my currency

guess what the orig.Stingray will cost me? 1,00,000 rupees ! :lol:

I don't know why it's funny, it just is.

A Stingray would cost me about $3000 AUD I think, which is still more than I'd want to spend.

Australian music scene is pretty sweet I guess, there's a lot of really bad metal bands floating around but there's always a bit of junk depending on the current trend. There are also some really good metal bands around.

As far as the mainstream goes the trend is towards female singer/songwriters and male "vintage rock" bands.

I wouldn't mind doing a solo, that would be so cool. The actual benefit gig is in March, so I will be doing something then.
