haha nice.

PS I like fake industrial bands, but I've never listened to real industrial much. It seems interesting but I've been listening to other stuff. Trip hop = sweetness.

B 12-09-2006 11:20 PM

i owuld definately play in a post rock band like that

it would be so awesome but i would have no idea where to start with songs

B 12-09-2006 11:21 PM

trip hop is the badass music you hear in car commercials. get DJ Shadow - Entroducing and Rob Dougan - Furious Angels

Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Ministry, Rob Zombie, etc...

Mitch: Did the screen move off of the monitor maybe?

good call. excellent album.

Mute Print 12-09-2006 11:32 PM

I just started it, but it has a really interesting sound to it so far. I dig.

I have some Al Di Meola downloading now.
Mitch: Did the screen move off of the monitor maybe?
No, i dont think so. You know how when you turn on a computer, the little light, located in a certain spot lights up? Yeah. That doesn't light up. I get no start up, no nothing. Its annoying. I live in anxious fear that I may have lsot all my sweet, sweet music...

This Will Destroy You is a sweet band.

I want to play so much music at the moment.
But, not enough people.

Yeah, it's sweet stuff. I like it a lot.

Which album(s)?

Mitch: You mean an indicator light for the harddrive on the case? If that's not lighting up it could be a bad sign. Either mobo or hd failure most likely.

World Sinfonía III - The Grande Passion

The guy I'm downloading it off of has a ton of his stuff, so I just picked an album randomly.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2006 11:38 PM

Hmm, I don't know that one, but based on the wiki it'll be a little more towards his latin influence than his jazz influence by comparison to his older albums. fyi.

Mute Print 12-09-2006 11:41 PM

I'll give it a shot. I can always download one of his other albums later.

Yup. It has interested me though so I'll probably end up getting it sooner than later.

I've been not listening to much Jazz on my own though because I get so much of it via my roommate's listening as is.

Mitch: Heh, that's no good then :\ Well I mean it could just be a burned out light, but if nothing's coming up...hmm. Is it store built or custom built?

Mute Print 12-09-2006 11:49 PM

This will be the first Jazz album I ever listen to, I think.

The only time I ever listen to jazz at all is when I'm in my dad's car, listening to XM radio. I usually stop and listen to a little jazz on my way to thre reggae channel. :p

Haha, well bear in mind MO and DiMeola are both Jazz Fusion, which I imagine will be more accessible to you than just Jazz, because it mixes in other styles as well. When you get into regular Jazz...can't go wrong with Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Chick Corea, etc...

Right. I figured it would be best to start with Jazz Fusion to sort of 'ease my way' into jazz.

I figured Miles Davis would be the first real jazz artist I would try.

Yup, that's usually the way to go.

Can't go wrong with Miles. Get into Jazz Fusion first though or you'll probably be bored to tears.

TheBigMachine 12-10-2006 12:04 AM

Jeff Beck did some jazz fusion amirite? I've got(had) this song of his, just him and his cronies doing jamming. It's so good.

Permanent Solution 12-10-2006 12:09 AM

Jeff Beck does everything man lol.

He did do some Jazz Fusion as I recall though.

PS Brian: How are you liking DJ Shadow?

TheBigMachine 12-10-2006 12:15 AM

Jeff Beck is super cool man, I love that guy.

Well yeah, like I said, it's what you see in commercials, it's just super chilled out and kicked back. Glad you're enjoying it :D

Mute Print 12-10-2006 12:26 AM

Well, DJ Shadow is just about over, and the Al Di Meola album I was downloading is finished, so I'm going to bed.

Night Mitch and Vince.

P.S. I'll let you know what I think of Al Di Meola once I listen in th morning Vince. :)

Permanent Solution 12-10-2006 12:34 AM

Cool, hope you enjoy, peace.

TheBigMachine 12-10-2006 12:43 AM
