kris_axemaster 02-10-2005 02:21 PM

How are you all?

fatbandit 02-10-2005 02:25 PM

Well I just ordered me in a Roland DB-500. Paying for it and collecting on Saturday. Better be worth it...

kris_axemaster 02-10-2005 02:25 PM

Oh, great to hear.

Accentopus 02-10-2005 02:27 PM
How are you all?
Did you like my poem??

Spaceman Spiff 02-10-2005 02:28 PM

I need a bass amp and have no many to spend on one.
:upset:

fatbandit 02-10-2005 02:30 PM

I now have no money for anything else, but I'm relying on the uber-expensive Roland to be my most bestest friend. It handles the low B far better than the MAG300 4x10 I was playing too.

Which is logical when you look at the speaker size ;)
And then a 15" would do even better I think...

Accentopus 02-10-2005 02:36 PM

Bye

kilian 02-10-2005 02:48 PM

^Bye

fatbandit 02-10-2005 02:55 PM

Maybe it would, but as long as I can reproduce what was going on with that amp in the shop when I'm at practices/gigs, I'm happy. That chorus is sweet as anything too. I've never really played with effects, but that might just convince me! :)

Bass_swede 02-10-2005 03:17 PM

Hey everyone! Listening to some incubus, for the first time... And i must say, it's like a fusion between RATM and RHCP! Nice stuff!

thelowsoundofbass 02-10-2005 03:20 PM

hey all, and incubus is ok. check out song 10 on the the second newest cd. sorry i don't know names. anyway it has a sweet porno slap line to it.

lowsound

Bass_swede 02-10-2005 03:22 PM

Will do lowsound! The only thing I don't like with them are the scratch apearing in some songs :( Just can't stand it..

thelowsoundofbass 02-10-2005 03:25 PM

im not a big fan, but one of my best friends is. so i end up listening to a bunch of it, anyway if you are interested in bass lines of theirs, look at the stuff before "a crows left of murder" thats when they had dirk lance as their bass player. hes really good, their new bass player just doesn't cut it in my opinion. too much rooting without much feeling for groove. the best lines are off the first 2 cds:thumb:

lowsound

fatbandit 02-10-2005 03:27 PM

Yeh, go for Fungus Amongus. SCIENCE is full of scratching and DJ stuff, so you may want to avoid it.

janyeno 02-10-2005 03:28 PM

I really don't feel like going to work... because people suck...

PaulSimonon 02-10-2005 03:28 PM

Yo. yo. yo.

Bass_swede 02-10-2005 03:28 PM

Okey, have listened to alot now, from the new to the roots and the old stuff is the best bass-wise.. Really funky lines!

thelowsoundofbass 02-10-2005 03:31 PM

^^i like that stuff, but then again i am a fan of rap-rock. not linkin park/limp biskut stuff, but more under ground rap-rock. also that might be because my two favorite music styles are death metal and techno, so that just kinda mixes than.

lowsound

fatbandit 02-10-2005 03:31 PM

Yup. My favourite album basswise is Fungus Amongus, but just for listening to, probably Morning View. Make Yourself is a good CD, very good infact, but it never seems to get played by me for some reason.

Bass_swede 02-10-2005 03:34 PM

Okey cool..

lowsound: Maybe you like a band called 'lowtank' I played a gig for them once and they are pretty good, my friends.. You could call it a little soad like nu-metal but in a other way not.. http://www.lowtank.tk/ dunno if they have any music there but I can send you some if you have MSN or something..

thelowsoundofbass 02-10-2005 03:36 PM

ya bass swede, just check out my email/msn is in there.

ps i blew out one of my moms tweeters yesterday listen to techno

Bass_swede 02-10-2005 03:37 PM

it wasn't from the high notes from what i can tell, i think that it was from the closs promixsimity of the sub to the tweeter, and the massive bass blew it. and my name is "justin" or "erb", but everyone on here calls me lowsound. but you can call me by my other names if you want
