Bad Blood 11-16-2005 05:49 AM

Boxcar have finished. Tom is now working on AAA. Boxcar is one of my favourite albums, it was a one off.

Boxcar won't be coming back anytime soon, I can tell you that.

Agent_Orange 11-16-2005 07:29 AM
Be a bit more specific? I didn't understand what they're retards for..or actually I do, but I'm not sure if it's what I'm thinking.

I'll asume it is and do this..

Same For You!

Exactly what I was thinking.

Have a nice day :) :thumb:
Boxcar Racer was just a side project to prove to Mark that blink could go into a more heavier darker kind of sound and still be succesful. I see no return since Tom is working on AAA. I can't wait to see how the new side project(s) do.

Surtr 11-16-2005 10:57 AM

I'd say it's usually Blink for me..but when I'm in the mood for some Boxcar thats the only thing I'll listen to.
Boxcar racer will never be as good as blink were
Actually, I find Boxcar were in alot of ways better than Blink, but of course you can't compare 1 album to 6 Albums (Not counting the pre-Buddha stuff).
Exactly what I was thinking.
Yup, As I though :)
suck me:thumb:
I know why you were banned now. Don't make me not like you.

So, I had a fun quote rampage there :)

Independent_CA 11-16-2005 01:15 PM

You call that a quote rampage? You obviously don't go into the politics forum very often.

These_Green_Eyes 11-16-2005 02:56 PM

Yeah, I like the Not Now music video. Nothing amazing, but I still enjoyed it. They didn't put anything from their first three music videos in there (M+M's, Dammit, and Josie) except for a little of Josie.

INTO THE AIRWAVES

TOM DELONGE is getting ready to launch his new much-anticipated new band Angels and Airwaves. Althought DeLonge and his bandmates are still working on their debut album, which isn't expected to be released until April, an exclusive song will be made available through iTunes on December 20th. "We're going to release a six-and-a-half minute song, a trailer for the movie and possibly a video, as well," DeLonge tells Kerrang!. "It will all be available through iTunes. The Song is called 'Valkerie Missile' and it's kind of a flagship track for the band. Choosing a song was hard for a day or two, because it will be the first thing people will hear, but we all came back to this one. It's really exciting and I can't wait for people to hear it."
The bands official website - http://www.angelsandairwaves.com - will also launch on the same day and fans will be able to get hold of limited-edition T-shirts and see exclusive artwork on there.

Ross 11-16-2005 03:05 PM

Not sure how this happened, but till now I had dismissed Dude Ranch, as when I listened to it oh so many years ago it didn't sound like TOYPAJ so I just assumed it sucked.

Suddenly it popped up on SonicStage just now and I didn't recognise it. I think its awesome :D So I checked the track names, and lo and behold... Dude Ranch!

z0mfg

Side Note: On a side note (this side note to be exact), the exact same thing happened with Green Day's Nimrod the other day. It doesn't sound like Dookie (although I did like Hitchin' a ride; who doesn't?!)

Side Note 2: This could never happen with The Offspring's Conspiracy of One.

That's what I thought too, but it happened. That album is pretty awesome to me now.

And did someone say they heard Plus 44 had a few songs?... Linky?

They most likely will, as will lots of other people. Give it a week or so and you should be able to hear the song basicly anywheres else. :thumb:
Just to get us back onto the topic of blink, who do you guys (and girls) prefer, blink or boxcar?
I go through stages, depends how I'm feeling at the time, but usually i prefer blink, just 'cause it's more upbeat, and fun.

Yay, first ever post. Three cheers for me! :D

poo-poo-pee-pee? WTF?
I don't really know...lol. My mate was over when I made the account, and he suggested the name "poopoopeepee" as a joke, so I made that the name.
It seemed like a good idea at the time...
So "Valkerie Missle" is the name of the new Angels and Airwaves songs. Sounds intriguing.

Didn't Tom say in an interview that users have to pay a yearly subscribtion of about $20, to get the exclusive material on the site? (ie: videos, songs, live concerts..etc)

Agent_Orange 11-17-2005 07:29 AM

I hope that is just rumor.
It will be great to hear that
yeah, i cant wait! i have a feeling this will be pretty good prob better than plus 44 in my opinion just cause Tom seems to be more serious and working more seriously, im not sure but i think plus 44 was organized be4 AVA and there still not much word on them to my knowledge.............im not sure about this tho im just saying that at least plus 44 was publicised be4 AVA

FauxApathy 11-17-2005 09:44 PM

I think you have to pay a fee, and you get a shirt. But It's not yearly or anything, just a one time fee.

poo-poo-pee-pee 11-17-2005 11:39 PM

I'd pay $20 for the shirt on it's own....
