Live in Canada rules, it got my dad into Rhapsody :D
|
Anyone ever listen to Rage? And no, I certainly don't mean Rage Against the Machine... I just picked up Soundchaser(2003) and it kicks serious ***. Since it's like their 17th album, i was wondering if their older stuff is similar or if they have evolved since I know the lineup changed a lot....
|
To be honest, I've never heard of them. I'll have a look.
|
I've heard of them. I think they're one of those old-school German PM bands.
|
Nothing better than Old-School German Power Metal.
|
Damn right \m/
Running Wild ftw even though I think they seem closer to speed metal >_> |

Yeh man, I've been a Rage fan for a while. I only own Trapped! (1992), Black In Mind(1995), and Unity (2002). Trapped! and Unity are both brilliant albums, though Black In Mindlacks powerful tracks a lot IMO. Only the title track is really kick ass. My brother's friend has their entire discography, so I'm looking forward to eventually getting my hands on it :) |
Well, a lot of power metal bands are basically speed metal with higher vocals and fantasy lyrics. Running Wild are still power metal ftw.
|
speed metal ftw

That album is absolutely amazing, I bought it a while back. It's really good.
|
Yeah, pretty damn good. They're speed metal though.
|
I have it, but haven't listened to it yet...
|
Hibria are fantastic, and yeah they're Speed Metal.

Yeh. Rage's albums are very difficult to find. I've only ever seen "Unity" and "Soundchaser" in stores. I had to order "Trapped!", and I was amazed to find "Black In Mind" at a thrift store for 2 bucks  It was the first time I've really ever been into a thrift store, and finding that album amazed me... |
Whats a thrift store ?
|
Whats a thrift store ?
It's just a store where items are extremely cheap....like CD's are about $2-3. All of the items are given there for free, and then the store sells them for extremely cheap. It's like the Salvation Army. The majority of the customers are those who are less fortunate...I was there because I heard they had some original NES games in stock (:p ), so I thought I'd check the place out real quick... |
Like a pawn shop then ? Well sort of..
I don't think I would ever buy a used CD. |
Like a pawn shop then ? Well sort of..
I don't think I would ever buy a used CD.
Basically yeh, just they're meant for different causes, though I generally use them for the same... I've bought a number of used CD's. If I find a used CD I like, then no question I'll buy it. The Demons & Wizards S/T I found at a Pawn Shop in near mint condition for $4..... So Storm, you're telling me you wouldn't buy a CD in a situation like that :p |
:p heh. I don't like the idea of buying a cd that soemone else has listen too/open the cover before me.
I'm weird like that, yes :p ESpecially Demons and Wizards cd. I would never buy a used one from them :p |
I'll buy used CDs of bands I don't really care about...only one we have around here is EB Games though. And they have nothing.
|
EB games sells CD's in your area?? hmmm....here it's basically soley games, software, and DVD's.
NP: Amorphis - Tales From the Thousand Lakes (entire album) |
Hmm, I thought it was only games and stuff like that. I never saw cd's there...
