I need help with using Soulseek
When I find the songs I want, I highlight all the songs Iwant then right click and 'Download File'...what do you do after that?

asdf 01-08-2006 05:12 PM

Okay, I know there's people here who like the band Lightning Bolt. I listened to a couple of songs and hated them, but I just keep hearing amazing things about them. Could someone recomend me some songs of theirs that might change my mind?

You wait for them to download. It's often easier to right-click and select download containing folder if they're in an album folder.

Mild_child 01-08-2006 05:58 PM

How do i know when their finished downloading?

RouteOne 01-08-2006 05:58 PM

I just watched that. It was ok.

At the top of the window, there's a button that says transfers....click it.

Unban Me Says Cameo 01-08-2006 06:13 PM

OMG GUYS!!!!!!

Evan Greer is playing my living room on Feb 16!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!

Liebensaft 01-08-2006 06:15 PM

No fucking way. Take a picture or I won't believe you.

In other news, I'm going to see Erik Petersen next Sunday with my girlfriend, and mom.

asdf 01-08-2006 06:17 PM

Anyone know The Drovers? Listening to Mischief Brew reminded me of them. They came out around '93 and fused irish folk and rock. I sort of grew up listening to them. No, not exactly punk, but I'm pretty sure a few people in this forum might enjoy them. The best stuff is from their first album "world of monsters."

One time the guys from the band came to my house and played with the action figures my brother and I had. Weird.

I plan to take so many pictures. It's going to be a twenty to twenty five person show in my living room/porch and since I live in a small condo, it's gonna be cramped, but cool. It's gonna really be me and my friends and some friend's friends I guess, but I really hope they can get into to the music and aren't going just to satisfy me, you know? I'd hate for him to perform in front of stiffs too uptight to get up and dance in the little space that we would have.

sketchyjoe 01-08-2006 06:22 PM

The Ballad of the Last Six Months of My Life is a godly song.

I can't write songs at the moment as every one comes out in the tune of that song as it's always in my head.

AIRIC 01-08-2006 06:26 PM

Everytime I tried to write poetry for my project I would end up writing something dangerously close to Johnny Hobo. It sucked but I should've just stolen some Johnny Hobo stuff.

Liebensaft 01-08-2006 06:28 PM

I'm trying to write something for Sam's comptetition, but every thought I get is similar to Mischief Brew, or Johnny Hobo, or anything else along those lines.

time bomb 01-08-2006 06:28 PM

Every time i try to write a song, i set out to make a tough, punchy punk song but for some reason it always ends up being a ghey love song or a crappy riff-driven pop-punk piece of crap, or worse, both at the same time :( it makes me so dissappointed in myself

The fusion of mind and music.

Culture Shock 01-08-2006 06:29 PM

Once again, I am trying to get rid of a few band shirts (The Business, Blitz, and AGT) and I am willing to give them away provided that someone sends a couple bucks for shipping. It is either that or the poor people in my town will just have to look mad punx.

Edit: They are medium or they fit like a medium.

I did get an idea earlier today, that I may have to invest further though in. I think this could be decent.

I appreciate your encouragement. I think I'll go get writing.:thumb:

coheneran 01-08-2006 06:34 PM

When I write a song it's usually from a spark of inspiration, maybe just a phrase that I would build a cool song around, or an idea, or a feeling, it's like a colour in my head that fills one part of the picture, and then all I have to do is paint in everything else. <<<<<<<<<<<<Wow, I haven't been that deep in ages. And who says weed is bad.

And the child's name will be Optimus Prime, btw.
