maniac0796 01-20-2007 09:58 AM

I was just gonna ask if it was possible to have some kind of signature that displayed what music you were playing at that moment in time, but then i realized that it would hog bandwidth and that this forum doesn't allow signatures...

Drum Phil 01-20-2007 10:21 AM

Indeed

fishbulb 01-20-2007 10:40 AM

I would have Apostrophe (') as my avatar, but then i wouldn't have my vault hats on my avatar. It's a hard choice.

I'll go with apostrophe for a while.

fishbulb 01-20-2007 10:49 AM

For some reason the quality is absolutely horrendous.

I'm gonna eat a muffin and play Zelda.

In Stings myspace it says..." For the 30th anniversary of The Police ... we have something special planned." Hopefully they come through. Everyone has been talking about it.

Brokensticks 01-20-2007 12:29 PM

I would definately go see the police. Would be an awesome show.

On the show topic last night I saw Moneen, Anti-Flag, Rise Against, and Billy Talent. Moneen was ok... I was in line to get a shirt during most of their set. Anti-Flag who I had never really heard of besides a couple songs was great live. Sounded bang on to the songs I have heard the singing was great and they were very entertaining. Rise Against..... The band I went there for! They were good but not great. The only one who seemed "alive" so to speak was the singer. He did quite well but missed the mic a couple times... The drummer was very boring. He lacked feel and just looked awkward. Billy Talent good live I must say. Not everyone's kind of singer. They're not my favorite but put on a good show.

All in all a good show.

Sunshine 01-20-2007 12:58 PM

Very much cool.

Man, in Maryland I went to shows all the damn time.

I never go anymore, and it makes me sad, because I'm finally old enough to go by myself [in Maryland, I was in 3~7th grade, so. Yeah.].

Technically the place I went most was in DC...The 930 Club [or, I guess, "Nightclub 930"].

Rundown little 2-story shack-lookin' thing, but EVERYBODY plays it when goin' through DC.

And of course, the HFStival...went every year I was there.

I lived in PG [Prince George's] County, btw.

Oh of course. (it's always the 930 club, :D) it's really pretty nice compared to most music places around here. Never been to HFStival.

the_pure_drummer 01-20-2007 02:41 PM

Berk i must admit and im not just flamming you because your berk but.....

That was ****.

Sunshine 01-20-2007 02:42 PM

See, *I* call it the 930 Club, but my dad demands that it's actually "Nightclub 930," which just sounds weird to me =/

HFStival = cooler when I was young. Then it got really big and insanely retarded.

Every year I went they started selling more and more tickets, until it became a big 2 day thing, then I moved, then 99.1 became a Spanish speaking radio station, then HFS moved to the internet, and I guess they're still holding the 'tival.
