What's a co-op student?
Its a thing you do in year/grade 12(?) for a credit. |
elaborate further plz
|
If i practice stick control with just my feet on ground, no pedals, would it actually do anything?
|
elaborate further plz
A student goes to a work place and does a certain amount of work there. FOR NOTHING. And the one today sent me to the office for doing that LAO thing. |
that sucks.
and synco, it would probably help you get the motions down a bit better, but i don't think it would a ton with control or w.e on the pedals themselves |
OK I don't think I'll get many answers so I'm not gonna start a thread. I know Danny Carey uses (or has used) the Simmons SDX electronic pads. Those arent available anymore, so what are some other pads like it? Also, what type of brain/module thing would I need to get? /doesn't know much about electronics
I'm not looking into anything completely seriously, but I think those pads are just so cool. Thanks |
nope, maybe used on ebay or such
|
Do heel toe and heel up use different muscles? If so, what are ways I can build up the muscles for each? I know CHris Adler bikes a couple miles every day to strengthen his legs.]
I understand speed is about relaxed control, but I want more muscles for endurance and power. Also under my desk I have a pedal hitting a pillow. Playing on this with my left foot will help, right? |
yep, that will help. so will streching before you go out and do double bass. walkin', bikin' etc. definatly helps too, because it strengthens the muscles, which definatly isn't a bad thing.
and eat your oats |
aight thanks man I will. I also have this forearm muscle strengthener, you squeeze it like your squeezing somebody's hand, and it gives resistance. this will help also? or will it ruin the technique in my muscle memory
|
I run 2 miles before every show and it loosens me a lot. I also use the hand squeezer and it helps too.
|
i don't think it will hurt if you practice with sticks and work out with that a fairly equal amount, though i'm not gonna pretend i really know what i'm talkin' about on these matters ha. all i know for sure is stretch before ya play
|
Biking a couple miles every day is mainly going to beef up your thighs, which is a negative in terms of playing bass drums.

When will you guys learn muscle is not a hindrence on your control?
I understand speed is about relaxed control, but I want more muscles for endurance and power.
Endurance and power comes from playing. Play the drums to get better at the drums! |

Actually, the main thing that biking will do is to improve your endurance and cardio vascular system, rather than building muscles. |
Hills is where you build up your thighs. If you're on a stationary bike you'll work your cardio and ankles more than anything.
|
my sweatbands smell like ***.
|
hey little buddy, sup?
|
My dog pissed on one of my sweat bands one time. But I didnt know about it so I went to go play a show and it was on and I smelled funky.

Nm. Yourself? Asking Stevi to Homecoming tomorrow. This ****'s going down. I got notecards and everything I'm ready to go... Too bad I have to wait 'till tomorrow to ask her, I'll lose all my enthusiasim by then. Del the Funky Homosapian is an awesome man. Scientist should study him, I don't think it's possible to be as incredible as he is. |
good luck dude:thumb:
|
Oh thanks.
But Lime doesn't need luck son. Whatever, I'm going to so piss my pants. |
Oh thanks.
But Lime doesn't need luck son. Whatever, I'm going to so piss my pants.
true, but don't piss your pants though, that won't score you points. i once asked a girl out. she said no. it sucked for like, a few days, then i got over it. that was about a year ago. now i just sit around admiring a few of the fine pieces off *** at my school and i haven't seriously kissed a girl since i was like 6. i'm in a rut. a 10 year rut. that should be broken by next saturday though. i've got a show in reading, and from what i can understand, reading chicks are fairly easy |
Haha yeah.
I havn't made out yet. I kissed a chick for truth or dare. And I kissed a chick, but she was just trying to make my best friend jealous. So that almost doesn't count./ Why the messed up train schedule Aaron? |
f' trackwork. Had to stand for 2 hours. I actually slept standing up.
|
That's cool.
Like Mr. Bean. |
