P13 06-09-2011 07:34 PM

I liked Saritote II and that song off Quartet
the other album was interesting, I'll have to let it grow on me. I liked it but it was just a bit too minimal for me, I need some rhythm in my music

anything else you can rec me?

I don't see that as any sort of bad thing. Think of the almost impossible odds it took for us to evolve to what we are today. It billions of years of evolutionary build-up.

lol

P13 06-09-2011 07:37 PM

wouldn't the odds be anything but impossible because it happened?

thats true and usually something I think about

just responding to malcolm and austin

changes in diet and physical exercise are completely obvious things you can change to help ease depression

Route1 06-09-2011 07:39 PM
wouldn't the odds be anything but impossible because it happened?
okay "impossible" was the wrong word but you get what I mean

P13 06-09-2011 07:41 PM

why would you think about it, it's almost entirely irrelevant unless you think there's a higher purpose

adb 06-09-2011 07:42 PM

sorry p13, anything non-apple related is clearly irrelevant - I should have known.

P13 06-09-2011 07:45 PM

ur a funni guy :lol:lol

Don't you live in NY?
yeah, but i thought in n out was pretty much only on the west coast and now in texas or something?
except I actually gave two tips:

high serotonin diet

exercise

if you would like to see all the benefits of exercise g2 fitness thread
those can certainly help, but just saying "oh you're depressed you just need to increase serotonin levels and get exercise" won't help 99% of people who have it

well since you're an engineer:
ryu hankil-becoming typewriter (Korean EAI, empty; objects whose vibrations are picked up via piezo mics)
polly bradfield-solo violin improvisations (American free improv from the '70s, also with lowercase attachments)
are great for study music/not paying attention to profs when it's unnecessary to give them attention.

those should be simple google searches (i found hankil on archive.org)

rowe/lehn/schmickler's rabbit run is really frenetic and crazy as shit/chiastic and whatnot EAI

alfredo consta monteiro/ferran fages/ruth barberan/ferran fages/masahiko okura/masafumi ezaki/taku unami's atami is a quirky, sharp fast-paced free improv/onkyo venture.

Bitchfork 06-09-2011 08:09 PM

plus rabbit run has looney tunes cover art so win

It has the full track in linear form and then the second track is the same thing but split into 42 parts and I read somewhere that the artists suggested taking the concept of chiasm and applying it to the order of the nonlinear listening experience, but that could be bullshit; I know for a fact though that it was meant to be able to be listened to ether nonlinearly or linearly.
