i saw them on the most random tour

taas
cursive
against me!
mastodon

all the bands were amazing live, didnt see mastodon
That is an obscure but brilliant line-up.

cbmartinez 03-14-2009 12:21 AM

seriously, such a strange mix of kids there. i was into against me for a few weeks or so intensely but never cared for them that much but man, that band KILLS it live

TakeWarning 03-14-2009 08:58 AM

Definitely.

First time I saw them remains the best night of my life. Great band to sing along to.

Iluvatar 03-14-2009 09:33 AM

that against me tour ruled

however at my show they had to have mastodon play before against me because they figured 70% of the kids would leave after AM!'s set, so I had to sit through a boring mastodon set

ATM 03-14-2009 09:59 AM
how were the coat hangers?

fresh tour
The Coat Hangers were actually pretty sweet. One of the better all girl groups I've ever seen.

honourosis 03-14-2009 10:50 AM

i only saw part of the coat hangers
young widows ruled
taas were crazy and fun, their set list was just awkward and didn't flow very well.

haha yeah, it was funny seeing everyone clear out after against me and just the long haired metal kids were left

Iluvatar 03-14-2009 01:31 PM

i guess they figured all the florida shows would justbe a bunch of against me! fans getting pissed about new wave stuff

Scuba_Steve 03-20-2009 11:15 AM

So can someone try to explain to me how people don't go nuts for Cruel Hand?

saw them last night and it was probably the best set I've seen in a long time, and a ****ing cro-mags cover to top it off, daaamn.

no way to get to baltimore :( I don't know anyone who's going that could ride me :/:/

iamrockzorz 03-20-2009 02:22 PM

you should got wmuc tomorrow though. the guilt/unrestrained/force fed/frantic onslaught

should be fun

Mute Print 03-20-2009 02:29 PM

Unrestrained is awesome. I've seen them twice. The lead singer is out of his mind.

Get Back Up is apparently playing that show too. Buffalo hardcore!

iamrockzorz 03-20-2009 07:15 PM

truth.

avatar brings the win mute

cobert 03-20-2009 08:22 PM

I haven't listened to Black SS in forever.

cobert 03-20-2009 08:34 PM

Oh ****, Bane + Have Heart are coming here in a month and a half.

IgniteYourAvail 03-20-2009 08:41 PM

They were added to a Crime in Stereo show in New York. I would love to drive up there just to see Bane, but no cash.

Same here, can't even remember what they sound like.

They're a pretty sweet band. But let's be honest, they're nothing groundbreaking.

If it ain't broke......

But out of all the bands that try to play that sort of hardcore, Cruel Hand are easily on top right now.

IgniteYourAvail 03-21-2009 11:14 AM

Cruel Hand rules. They're playing the Hardcore/Metal fest, but I'm not going to that. Too much money for too little good bands really.

Mute Print 03-21-2009 01:52 PM

I saw Cruel Hand with Bane in November. They were great, and people here seemed to be pretty pumped on them, even though it was their first time here.

Worth going to tonight?

Mute Print 03-21-2009 02:16 PM

I vote yes. Unrestrained is ridiculous live, and I love Get Back Up (although I may be a bit biased). Plus, the flyer says it's only $6, so I'd say it will be well worth it.

iamrockzorz 03-22-2009 11:11 AM

that show was amazing. get back up and unrestrained kick so much ***. their vocalists are ridiculously into it and emotional. good show overall.

force fed were douchebags but w/e

ATM 03-22-2009 02:05 PM

I couldn't make it :-x

How'd you like the station? I host shows there every Sunday.

iamrockzorz 03-22-2009 02:07 PM

Very cool station. A lot more legit than mine. But do me a favor and make sure to tune in tomorrow from 6-8 @ georgetownradio.com.

Check out The Guilt/Get Back Up/Restrained if you haven't. They're all incredibly legit.

Feel The Darkness 03-25-2009 09:23 PM

Black SS rules. Foreign Object is awesome.

so i'm gone for a few weeks, and they do away with hc/e? lame. whatever. place seemed dead anyway.

i'm gonna boycott the pop-punk forum for being a bunch of ninnies.

on a related note, I'm seeing Screeching Weasel in June, and my band should be touring to the west coast in July/Aug. wordlife.
