I live in ****ty Canada. All I got is Canadas wonderland.

Brain Toad 08-05-2005 08:22 PM
What's funny about Orange County is that the city's with the tourist attractions don't seem to be getting much money out of it...and if they are none of the money is going to city use. Anaheim (Disneyland) is pretty crappy and full of crime, the city isn't really kept up with at all...especially around Disneyland. Buena Park (Knott's Berry Farm) is basically the same as Anaheim except a smaller city. Huntington Beach is nice around the Pier and Main St., but other than that it's a dirty crowded place that sucks if you're looking for something upscale. I like Huntington though, it's awesome to hang out at, cool people too.
I've noticed that with tourist attraction towns when I'm down there. The surronding areas get big, because its cheaper to stay there. San Bernidino was nicer then the some of the other towns when I would go down for the races in Fontana. And Hollywood was a huge scuzzpit when I went there.

Tourists ravagae a town, I hate it. Thats why I want to move to Pleasant Hill or another area in Contra Costa county, no tourist attractions, nicer people and area.

Living in the Suburbs is so much better than living in the big city. For reasons already mentioned in this thread.

*Free health Care

*Less chance of being bombed

*Lower Crime Rate

'nuff said.

Funny thing is, Vallejo is more of a suburb then say San Francisco, nearly all of the Bay Area are suburbs of San Francisco, with some of the smaller towns being subsuburbs of the larger suburbs, like Oakland. It's insanly odd over here. But I wouldn't live anywhere else, personally. Except maybe Canada.

Cliche Guevara 08-05-2005 08:29 PM

I'm still trying to find out how exactly to quote, but yeah my story is pretty much the same as Nick's from Sydney, cept I'm Meghan from Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

You gotta head inland or its gonna be bad no matter where you are in California. Kinda sucks.

You don't know you want to live anywhere else until you've tried it.

Comparing it to parts of Fontana by the track, and Rancho Cucamunga, it's nice.

Comparing it over by the airport, its not so nice.

Although its probably all different now since the track has had time grow and businesses have expanded, I went when it was all brand new.

It's the only place in California I'd want to live. I hate SoCal, and it'd get boring fast up in the redwoods closer to Oregon.

Thats wierd how you guys were having a conversation and then boom it stoped.

Rancho is growing so fast. I'm looking out my window and I can see the god**** houses there building there right now. There real close together. Bugs me.

I like living in Oxford but I want to live in other places just to find out what it's like.

Does England have rual (spelling) places to live, or is it mostly cities?

sketchyjoe 08-05-2005 08:54 PM

England has lots of countryside.

Anxious 08-05-2005 08:55 PM

I've never pictured it being that way.

gastery6 08-05-2005 08:56 PM

I have. I pictured a bunch of sheep farmers for some reason??

That's Wales.

J_McMeaty 08-05-2005 09:51 PM

I know it for its tea and crumpets and such. And where the black op group Rainbow Six lives of course.

Sid 08-05-2005 09:51 PM

For your next vacation, take a trip to my omnibus.

Rise Me Up 08-05-2005 09:54 PM

I've been looking up Malcolm X,and from what I've read,I don't understand why people can't wear his shirts at school. In the dress code it says no rebel flag or Malcom X shirts are to be worn, and Malcolm X doesn't seem bad,so WTF?

TAND 08-05-2005 09:54 PM

I can't really picture England at all.

J_McMeaty 08-05-2005 09:55 PM

If you're not allowed Malcolm X shirts that's retarded. You should seriously complain.

I recommend his autobiography. It's amazing.
