Accepting it wasn't really much trouble, it was more living with it that got to me for a while. For a while I pretty much had the attitude of, "Fuck it. I don't care," towards everything. Eventually I got passed that, and now... I'm not sure, I guess I'm fine.
It does feel strange, especially when I forget that she's gone, andwhen I visit my cousins, she's not there. But yeah, I'm fine with it too.
Glad to hear that you're pulling through.

Spaceman Spiff 11-06-2006 12:22 PM

Well, as I've said, I'm seeing The Decemberists tonight and cannot wait. There's some serious excitement for this concert. :D

Efrim 11-06-2006 12:25 PM

I've been thinking of buying one of their albums, which one is the best one?

Spaceman Spiff 11-06-2006 12:30 PM

Hmm... that's hard to say.

Maybe start with Picaresque, though their latest one, The Crane Wife, is really good. Hell... they're all good! The others are Castaways & Cutouts, Her Majesty, and they've got a couple EPs as well. One is really worth checking out, it's just one 18+ minute song, it's called The Tain and it's amazing.

Efrim 11-06-2006 12:32 PM

I'll definitely look into those as soon as I get home.
And, I just finished my report on imperialism! Huzzah!

Ting 11-06-2006 12:33 PM

Anyone play poker here?

Efrim 11-06-2006 12:34 PM

On occasion, why?

Hey guys, so from Mike's thread I'm going to post alot more in here :) I haven't posted in ages! Just became a lurker really..

So I have an essay in for, well.. 6 hours ago :p I stayed off college because I couldn't get it done last night as work wouldn't give me the night off. Despite their "education comes before your job" outlook, phoning in and saying I can't work because I have a load of college work "isn't a good enough excuse". Bullsh*t.

Anyway, my essay is in 3 parts. (2000 words total)

For the first 2 parts I have to use PEST Analysis. (Political, Economical, Social and Technological) and basically have to discuss those 4 points and how they were in relation to the 2 events. The events I'm doing are

Woodstock

The Sex Pistols' Broadcast on the Bill Grundy TV Show.

Third part, I basically have to discuss how the internet has affected the music industry :) That should be easy enough.

I'm really stuck on the Woodstock part! The only info on it I can find is what happened at Woodstock..

sixner 11-06-2006 12:36 PM

Chicks are so confusing.

but the new audioslave CD is awesome :)

Glad that you're posting more, since I don't really know you.

For Woodstock, I'd say that it was the beginning of a society where music held influence, even if they didn't accomplish very much.
Would you raise pre flop if you had A-9
Well first day at my new job and I am not too impressed.

Hopefully it will get better once the training finishes.

Bad news for me at least..............MX and TB have been blocked as chat sites.

<<<<Is fucking pissed off because of that.

sixner 11-06-2006 01:18 PM

At this point I would rather not say........just playing it safe, much more of an uptight attitude it seems at this point, maybe that will change.

Myspace is also blocked, but that I can understand.

Ting 11-06-2006 01:24 PM

My friend found a way to get around filters like that. i'm trying to remember.

Spaceman Spiff 11-06-2006 01:27 PM

Whoa... I never knew your name was Shaun.

I always assumed it was Ebe, because I had a friend with that name once, short for Ebenezer.

And a sort of weird thing, my middle name is Shaun, but I've never seen it spelled that way except for my name. It's always Shawn or something.

They have an extremely jacked up IT department, so I would imagine that I would be fighting a loosing battle, plus tracking software abounds and I would like to see where this job goes before I find ways to get myself fired.

Shaun is supposedly the Irish spelling.............thanks to my father and his love for the place and the holiday he went on there way back when, my sister also has an irish name.
