Carol Heller is the former vocalist of the all-female Southern California punk band Get The Girl. She currently holds the role of guitar and vocals alongside Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus in Plus 44. You can slightly hear her voice in the background of Plus 44's new song "No It Isn't". "No It Isn't" was released on Plus 44's website on December 13th, 2005. Recently a Canadian Message Board has stated that Carol has left Plus 44 due to "problems with the band members" although this has not been confirmed by Mark or Travis it remains to be seen.

what do people like better so far Plus44 or AvA.... personally i like plus 44.

I guess I'll just wait for an official statement before I believe anything.

I still like Plus 44 better, but give it a couple of days and The Adventure might've grown on me more.

Im starting to believe this will be as good as Tom said. I want to hear "The War" and "It Hurts" the most. Ah hell i want the whole album.

Tom must be pretty pissed at the moment, first Mark releases a Plus 44 song on 'the biggest day for AVA yet', and ruins Tom's birthday, next an AVA song gets leaked on the internet.

I dont think mark releaseing that on toms birthday would ruin it for him.

Almost everything everything gets leaked these days. I just downloaded the new Hawthorne Heights album which comes out in March.

I like Plus 44 much better. I can't get enough of that song. Where can I get the AVA one?

It hurts me to say that because ive been a firm beleaver that Mark owns Tom at song writing, but not in this case.

I love hearing Tom's voice again, this song is awesome.

I think it also has to due with the fact that No It Isn't sounds so simple and uncomplete. I bet the version that we all heard isn't the one that is going to be on the record. The Adventure seems like the final copy of the song with the complete mixing and mastering. That's why I like TA better.

you kind of have to be into the whole bloc party/reggie and the full effect/postal service type of stuff i guess to really be into +44, judging from their one song

i dont really think it's fair to say which band is better when they each only have one song released actually...for example: say Straylight Run and Taking Back Sunday were both planning on releasing their first album around the same time and their first single was released within a month or 2 of each other...say Straylight Run decided to use Tool Sheds and Hot Tubs, while Taking Back Sunday released Cute Without The E. i know i would like Cute Without The E a LOT more than Tool Sheds and Hot Tubs...and i'm sure a lot of people would agree. but in my opinion Straylight Run is the better band.

The only thing I can imagine hating about both these two albums (well, mainly AVA) is that they will have the biggest amount of fanboys/girls ever.

It'll be a new generation and Plus 44 and AVA will get singled out and be one of those bands which are either: Loved (by 11 year olds) Or hated (by everyone else just because they will have so many teeny fans).

I think all bands should release 1 song at least for free download before an album just to give people a taster. A lot of people might not buy an album by a new band incase they dont like it and stuff.

You could play All the Small Things at least then. :p

Tom's stuff isn't really hard to play usually. Only one I've had some trouble with is Wasting Time. That's a fun riff though.
