no, It's just us although we've been told some of the audiences members may bring guitars or something.

progress on what?

MalcolmYoungRock 09-18-2004 11:10 AM

ToRidTheDisease 09-18-2004 11:12 AM

this thread is slowing down a lot

MalcolmYoungRock 09-18-2004 11:14 AM

No, just all the regulars that are usually here are gone.

Broken Arrow 09-18-2004 11:15 AM

Yeah I was just wondering because my cousin is a bassist for a band in London I I think he said he was doing a gig this week but I cant remember.
What did I tell you about that spelling ****. It brings negativity to the Classic Rock household.
shit*

I'm sorry Mr. Badmoon.

BludgeonySteve 09-18-2004 11:16 AM

We have about 15 regulars and most of them were sleeping or something for the last little while.

Well anyway, sounds like that would be a good show. You play drums, right?

RockAndRoll 09-18-2004 11:16 AM

1. Why is this thread being bumped? there is no need.
2. It is not slowing down, there just happened to be a time where very few people posted.

BludgeonySteve 09-18-2004 11:17 AM

What I said.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-18-2004 11:17 AM

See, now everybody is waking up.

yep. I hope it all goes well, I think in the past 2 weeks we've started taking big steps forward after the summer of everyone being busy. Maybe after this we'll have some more time to write more songs and learn a greater variety og them.

Badmoon 09-18-2004 11:20 AM

This thread will never die. Last time someone said that, we got the second wave of Classic Rock regulars.

lunch998 09-18-2004 11:21 AM

Anyone up for a chat now? Even if we have no real topic.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-18-2004 11:21 AM

omgz, now me 4

RockAndRoll 09-18-2004 11:32 AM

Anyways, What are some drum parts of Classic rock songs that really stick out in your mind.

Fire, doesn't everybody love this one?
Dazed and Confused, Especially the end of the solo
Aja, the end just amazing
Come together, everybody knows this part
Good lovin, just has a cool beat that goes with the music
Whiteroom, I love the sound of his bassdrum on this I wish I could reproduce it
Magic Bus, Original, the song just isn't the same without it
Mississipi Queen, I love this song, I think it's use of cowbell is overshadowed by BOC
Traintime, the drums and harmonica make this song
I shot the Sheriff, in covers of this song the drums help keep the original feel
Good times bad times, great bass drum use
How many more times, just a really great part

Ah i'll probably add more later but I think this is a good list to start with.

Broken Arrow 09-18-2004 11:38 AM

Nice^

Thankyou, I can't beleive I missed Floyd though, Nick is a great drummer, underrated and the only member to play on every album.

RockAndRoll 09-18-2004 11:50 AM

Nick is terribly underrated, great musician.

Broken Arrow 09-18-2004 11:55 AM

I like him in Time..thats just me though

I like him in time too, Time is a great drum peice.

RockAndRoll 09-18-2004 12:01 PM

I also think he does a very good job in Another Brick in the Wall.

lunch998 09-18-2004 12:05 PM

His stuff is always pretty solid. I like the slow fills in the chorus of Brain Damage.

RockAndRoll 09-18-2004 12:06 PM

Once my floyd fanatic friend said he though all the drumming in floyd was the same, I just laughed at him.

RockAndRoll 09-18-2004 12:10 PM

Lighthouse has an amazing drummer too(skip prokop I think). He's got a great voice as well which i did not know until recently.

MalcolmYoungRock 09-18-2004 12:10 PM
